He is also either completely unobservant, or is unwilling to deal with 
the

reality around him.  At one point, while he was embracing onna-Ranma, 

Nabiki

poured hot water on Ranma, returning Ranma to normal male form.  At 

that

point, he SHOULD have become curious enough to ask Nabiki, who 

obviously

knew exactly what was happening, what was going on.

Sigh. Yes, Kunou displayed an act of misunderstanding so huge it had to 
be the product of mental deficiency. But you know what? So does EVERY 
character in the series, with the possible exception of Nabiki. 
Misunderstanding in Ranma is explanative of nothing, other than the 
brand of humour Takahashi wanted to use.

And you will note that Nabiki deliberately galvanized his 
misunderstandings. If Nabiki won't tell him, Ranma sure won't and 
neither would anyone else. Yes, that's right; the one and only reason 
why Kunou still believes in sorcery is because no one has told him 
differently.

Kuno percieves himself to be a grand old samurai nobility type, but his
behavior indicates otherwise.  He assigned himself the self-agrandizing
nickname of "The Blue Thunder..." in the first episode of Ranma in 

which he

appears.

Samurai of old were very prone to self-promotion. They regularly came up 
with big names for themselves. It's just a part of the parody Kunou 
plays.

When he set the condition that Akane must be defeated before anyone 

could

date her, then repeatedly attempted to defeat her, he OFTEN attempted 

to

strike a girl.

Well, look at it this way; Ryouga's rivalry with Ranma comes from the 
greatest traditions of feudal era duelling. When Ryouga fights Ranma to 
the death, it's not supposed to be tragic or bitter, it's supposed to be 
beautiful--two great martial artists going all out on one another. No 
quarter, no holding back, just strength against strength. Now, what 
would happen if either one of them killed the other? It really wouldn't 
be Ranma 1/2 any more, would it? Bringing it back to Kunou, what would 
happen if he REALLY hit Akane? You get my point.

She is extraordinarily obsessive at the very least.

So is almost every other core character. Obsessiveness is explanative of 
nothing other than the humour Takahashi wants to create.

 She refuses to accept that her
pursuit of Ranma is not wanted, deluding herself into believing that he 

will

be hers.

Really. So how many times has Ranma told Kodachi to take a hike? About 
as many times as he's told Kunou--that is to say, never. Why not? We 
don't know--it's a law of the anime universe. Don't ask and you don't 
have to know.

Finally somebody that you describe as not being completely OOC!

Now, I didn't say he wasn't OOC.

When he attacks, he is portrayed as generally not caring about 

collateral

property damage, so long as Ranma dies.

Well, it's hard to really determine these issues with Ryouga because he 
is never put in a situation where he might seriously hurt an innocent 
bystander. However, based on his character, I simply can't see Ryouga 
throwing a mass-destruction attack in the direction of a little girl who 
is plainly in sight.
