Again, an original work by me, not yet finished. C&C welcome, along with
any tips, hints, things like that.

"Well, exactly what is it that you think I can do for you?" said one of
the men at a small table in the corner of the tavern.
"You see Kain, I have a little problem with a few people that I am
quite sure you could take care of for me, you will, of course, be
compensated for helping me..." said another man at the same table,
bearing a slight english accent.
"Lemme get this straight here Murtaugh, I take care of a few people for
you, and you pay me.... lets say... half a million?" inquired Kain.
"That seems to be the basic jist of this deal. We 'do' have a deal,
right?" intoned the anxious buisness man across from Murtaugh.
"Back off Hewett, dont try to make up my mind for me." snapped Kain.
"Damn Kain, you seem to be in a rather uptight mood this evening." said
Murtaugh.
"I'm only uptight around people I don't trust, and I'll be damned, I
don't trust either of you..... yet." Kain shakes Murtaughs hand and
stands from the table, after a little mock bow, he departs the tavern.
"Do you think he can actually do this Murtaugh?"
"Well... Actually yeah, but the question isn't if he can, it's if he will."
Kain heads down the narrow leading from the filthy little
establishment to his car parked on the nearest main road. As he walks
past several dumpsters, rats scurry around under his feet, trying to avoid
being stepped on by the big man. A small flash of lightning streaks
across the grey clouds. After stopping for a second and looking up at the
clouds.
"Damn, this fuckin' rain is never going to stop." he muttered to
himself as he walked out of the alley onto the street. He puts the key in
the door of his car and is just about to turn it when someone taps him on
the shoulder from behind. He whirls around, gun drawn, ready for a fight
after having met with the most despisable scumbag the city had to offer.
"Whoa! Jeezus man! Don't be so god damn jumpy, its just me, Hewett."
"Ah, yeah, from the tavern, what do you want and be warned, my patience
is already wearing thin."
"I just wanted to let you know that Murtaugh...." his speech was cut
short and blood started to dribble from his mouth. His body slumped to
the ground in front of Kain and there it lay, the rain washing away the
blood.
Kain kept his gun drawn and at the ready as he headed back down the
alley, looking for who, or what, shot Hewett. As Kain crept back down the
alley, he kept his eyes peeled, but little good since he was back at the
tavern door and no one was in sight. From the rooftop, a laugh is heard
as Kain starts his car and drives away.

"Aww yeah, home sweet home." Kain said to himself as he shut the door
behind him. Setting his keys on the table, he pressed the button on his
answering machine, 'You have 3 messages.' came the little tin voice from
the machine.
Beep! "Hi Kain, I left you a surprise in your bedroom." came a womans
voice, and Kain started for the bedroom, not caring about the rest of the
messages.
Kain flipped on the bedroom lights to see Savanna lying on his bed,
completely nude.
"So wheres the surprise?" Kain asked sarcastically.
"Its right here." she replied as she lay even further back on the bed.
"Let me grab a quick shower then you can show me the surprise." He
didn't wait for a response and headed for the shower. Kain really didn't
want to tell Savanna that it was over. She had went behind his back and
told a few people about his recent business deals, and had almost gotten
him killed, so he didn't have a choice in the matter. Forgetting the
shower, he went back into the bedroom.
"Get out."
"What do you mean get out?" she asked.
"Is it really that hard Savanna, I said get out, that means put your
clothes on and leave."
"What's going on Kain? Why are you telling me to leave?"
"Just do it!" he was starting to get angry.
She gathered up her clothes, got dressed and left. Kain sighed and
looked around his room.
"Well, there goes the finest bitch in this city, and I kicked her out."
He forgot about wanting a shower and just fell on his bed, exhaustion
catching up to him.
* * * * * *
A knocking is heard on the door and Kain bolts upright, grabbing his
gun from under the pillow and creeping towards the door.
"Who is it?" he said through a sleepy haze. Kain shakes his head to
clear it from the cobwebs of sleep.
"Kain, just open the door..." came a womans voice from the other side.
"Savanna?"
"Please Kain, just open the door... please..."
Kain opened the door and found Savanna sitting on the floor in a heap,
her clothes were torn and she was beaten up pretty badly.
"Savanna, what the hell happened?"
"I was headed home and three guys started following me. I just kept
walking but they kept getting closer and closer. I started to run and
they caught me and pulled me into some alley. Kain, they raped me." and
she started to cry.
Kain sat next to her and let her lean onto his shoulder as she cried,
"Did you see any of the three that did this to you?"
"Yeah, I only recognized one of them though. You know that guy who runs
the alleys.. Oh what is his name....... Brendan?"
"Yeah, I know him, he is who did this?" he inquired.
"He is the one who started it, the other two I didnt see very well."
"We'll take care of him in the morning, but for now you need to lay
down." Kain picked her up and carried her into his apartment, setting her
on the bed. She was so exhausted that she fell asleep within minutes.
Kain sat by her with a bowl of warm water and a rag cleaning up the cuts
and scrapes on her face. Kain couldn't help his rage from starting to
boil as he watched Savanna toss and turn in her sleep.
"Don't worry Savanna, we'll find the assholes that did this and make
them pay." he whispered as he sat in the chair and waited for morning.

Kain and Savanna were headed to where Brendan was reported to hang out
during the days, in that small tavern in the alley. They both entered the
flithy place and started to look around the room. Through the dim
lighting and smokey haze, they saw him. Savanna let out a little startle
as she saw Brendan sitting at a table nursing a glass of stale whiskey.
"You go sit at the bar Savanna, I'll go have a chat with Brendan." Kain
whispered into Savannas ear. She left his side and sat at the bar as he
walked to Brendan table.
"I hope you don't mind me sitting here." Kain said through clenched
teeth as he sat across from Brendan.
"Who da fuck are you?" asked Brendan in a voice full of fear.
"A very pissed off person, any more questions?" Kain said in a voice of
growing anger.
"You got a problem or sumthin man?" Brendan's voice quivered a little.
"Yeah, and from the looks of it, you have one too, a big one."
"What do you want?"
"You see that gorgeous strawberry blonde sitting at the bar? The one
that has bruises on her face?"
"Yeah, whadda bout her?"
"You and a couple of your friends raped her last night." he growled as
he grabbed Brendan's collar.
"Hey man! Get offa me you freak!"
Kain lifted him from his seat as he stood up, bringing Brendan close to
his face. Kain spit in his face and tossed him on the floor hard. Brendan
scrambled to get away from him but Kain picked him up again before he
could get away. Grabbing his arm, Kain twisted and pulled upwards,
snapping the elbow. Brendan screamed in pain but that didnt make Kain
stop. Kain lifted him over his shoulder and slammed him hard towards the
floor, cracking his head on a chair causing a little spray of blood. Kain
grinned as he put his foot on Brendan's forehead and started to stand. The
rapist let out a blood curdling scream as Kain kept putting more and more
weight on his forehead. With a sickeneing sound, his skull cracked and
his head split open. Kain glanced around the room and noticed everyone,
even Savanna, staring at him and cringing in fear. He casually kicked
aside the little bits of brain matter and walked to the bar. He sat next
to Savanna and asked for a napkin to get the gunk off of his boot.
"See? I told you we would make the asshole pay."
"You killed him Kain, I thought you were just going to kick him around
a little, but you killed him."
"I guess I did." as he glanced back at the corpse on the floor. "Gimme
a beer."
The bartender pours him a glass of draft and set it down in front of him.
"Yknow, he was always causing trouble, it just finally caught up with
him." said the bartender.
"Do you happen to know who he hangs around with, like friends? partners
in crime? anything like that?" asked Kain.
"Yeah, he has two buddies that is he always with, normally they are
here with him during the day, but I havent seen them today. Uhh.... Tommy
and Johnny Brochley, thats the two."
"Thanks." Kain chugged down his piss warm beer and stood up, headed for
the door. Savanna followed him.
* * * * * *
Two men walk down a barren street, stopping on occasion to headbutt
each other and scream obscenities. Stopping at a 24 hour convenience
store, the two split up.
"Tommy, I'm going for the bike, you go rob this shithole and meet me in
the alley behind it." Johnny said as he crossed the street and got on his
harley.
"Ahm on it!" Tommy said as Johnny took off, headed for the alley.
Tommy walked up and down the narrow aisles in the little piss pot the
old fucker was running. Roaches and mice scurried from shelf to shelf,
fly strips from 30 years ago hung from the ceiling, completely coated in
dead flies. The little bell on the door rang as someone entered the
store, they walked towards the back of the store and started looking
through the shelves for something or other. Tommy seeing his window of
opportunity starting to close decided to act now, even if the store wasn't
empty. He quietly pulled the 36 special from his jackets outer pocket and
walked to the counter.
"What can I get ya?" asked the old man.
"Just uhhh.... a pack of Marlboro and a book of matches."
"Ok, that'll be...." he shut up as Tommy thrust the end of the snub
nose revolver in his face.
"Put all the money in one of those smaller paper bags, and don't say a
fuckin' word, just do it." said Tommy, trying not to get loud.
"Well well well, if it isn't little Tommy Brochley...."
"Who.... Who the hell are you?" said Tommy, spinning around. The old
man grabbed the bag and dove under the counter as the robber was
distracted.
"Who am I? I'm just a nobody, a nothing."
"Then what the fuck are you doing? Can't you see I'm trying to earn a
living here?"
"Earn?" the man laughs.
"Yeah ya stupid fuck, I said EARN." and he fired off a shot, hitting
the man in the chest. "Bang! Haha!" Tommy said as he kicked the man on
the floor.
"Too bad I'm not dead." replied the man as he kicked Tommy in the face,
breaking his nose, causing a spray of blood. The man swept Tommy's feet
out from under him and pounced on him, punching him in the face 7 times
before standing and kicking him in the throat. Tommy flopped around on
the floor, mouth gaping, trying to suck air through his crushed windpipe.
He shook violently as his need for air became greater. His hands clutched
at his throat and his eyes rolled in the back of his head. Twitching one
last time, Tommy fell dead.
"Its okay to come out now old timer, he won't be robbing you again
anytime soon."
The old man crawled out from under the counter and looked at the corpse
on the floor.
"If you hadn't been here he would have killed me, and for
what? 37 bucks and some change. Say, what do I tell the cops when they
get here?"
"Don't tell them anything, they probably won't even show up." the man
replied as he headed out the door.
* * * * * *
"Man, what the hell is taking Tommy, he should be here by now." Johnny
mumbled to himself. Looking around himself, Tommy began to think just how
bad of a place he was in. Rats the size of small dogs hissed at each
other and fought over old burger scraps under a dumpster. A vagabond
napped next to the dumpster, a small bottle of Thunderbird wine was at
his feet, empty. The bum snorted a little and burped loudly as he shifted
in his sleep. Footsteps behind Johnny caused him to startle and spin
around, looking in the shadows for whoever it was.
"Tommy? Is that you??"
"Oh, you knew Tommy?" came a voice from the darkest shadows.
"Yeah, he's muh brother and unless you are him, I'd get out of here."
"Well Johnny, I wouldn't hang around here too long waiting on Tommy, it
seems that Tommy had a little accident and he wont be joining us for dinner."
"Wha... What do you mean?" Johnny asked.
"It seems that Tommy has a slight case of death." came the voice from
the shadows. A hand grabbed Johnny from behind and tossed him against the
dumpster.
"What the hell!?!" exclaimed the bum that was awaken by the loud crash.
He got up and ran as fast as he could go as he saw the man in the shadows
advancing on the man from the bike.
"Shit man! What the hell is your problem?!"
The man from the shadows picked Johnny up and slammed him against the
brick wall. Getting close to his face, he started to speak through
clenched teeth.
"Two nights ago, you, your brother and Brendan raped a woman. I'm here
because that woman, also happened to be involved with me." He slammed the
guy against the wall again, harder this time and Johnny's head smacked
into the wall with a thud.
"Oh fuck man, You must be that 'Kain' person she kept calling out to as
I stuck it in her! Ooooh damn man, that was one fine piece of ass!"
laughed Johnny.
Kain grabbed Johnny by his neck and walked towards the bike. He lifted
up the back end of the bike and put down the kickstand. With the back
wheel now off the ground, Kain started the bike. He opened the throttle
all the way and started to laugh as he saw the terror bleeding into
Johnny's face. Putting the bike in gear and opening the throttle all the
way again, he forced Johnny's face towards the spinning wheel. Johnny
fought with Kain as he forced his face to the wheel, but Kain was too
strong. Kain pressed Johnny's face onto the wheel, the rubber cut through
his flesh down to bone. Johnny was screaming and trying his hardest to
get away from the wheel, but Kain pressed harder. The rubber started to
burn against Johnny's exposed cheekbone, the smell of burning flesh
filled the alley, as did Johnny's screams. Kain pulled him away from the
wheel. Johnny's eye hung from the socket, gently swinging back and forth.
His tongue was severed completely and blood bubbles rose from his throat
with each breath. one of Johnny's cheeks was completely gone and the
other just hung there, disconnected just under the other eye. Kain shut
the bike off and tossed Johnny on the ground to die.
