Look, the easiest, most obvious answer to the two-people-one-spring 
question is that they would simply be cursed, period.

True.  Vanilla Ice Cream is a relatively simple dessert as well, but that
doesn't neccessarily make it my favorite treat. :-)

I don't remember who started this thread, but since it's an alternate
universe fic, go wild and do it.  Personally, I could see some interesting
conflicts here.  Does Ranma/Ryoga-chan have headaches due to Ranma and
Ryoga arguing or is she a seperate personality all her own?  What happens
if one gets splashed with cold water?  Does the other person instantly
teleport to the cursed form, only to reappear when doused with hot water?
How does Ranma's and Ryoga's relationship to each other change because of
this?  
Not to mention the reactions of all the other fiancees.  Lots of ideas
could be explored within the frame work suggested.

When I first glanced at this thread, I wasn't all that interested.  It
didn't make the value of the story any less.  I have liked several series
that at first glance didn't appeal to me.  After writing the previous
paragraph, I would like to see what the author had in mind for the Ranma
fanfic.

That's just my [whatever the going rate for thoughts are these days].
