the show never says the springs combine people have to do with a person
suggesting the idea to the FFML?

 So what if it's not stated in the
series... you really need to learn that just because it's not stated
does not make it untrue!

Okay. But first you have to admit that if you dumped three people into a 
spring, you'd get the curse body but with three heads.

Look, the easiest, most obvious answer to the two-people-one-spring 
question is that they would simply be cursed, period.
