Okay, "The Prisoner" is a really great British TV show from the sixties.
This is my Ranma-Prisoner x-over. This is only a draft. C&C, Rants,
Flames, all welcome. It makes me feel loved.
=======================
[ We start with a shot of Ranma returning from school, an angry look on
his face. Upon arriving home, he looks about, but only sees Kasumi. He
starts arguing with her about something, and Kasumi tries to placate
him. Ranma finally gets an extremely exasperated look on his face, then
yells something at Kasumi, who looks absolutely shocked. We see Ranma
run up to his room and start packing his large backpack. He is stuffing
in all of his belongings, as if he isn't planning on returning for a
long time. We see a hooded figure enter the room, but Ranma is too busy
to notice. The hooded figure sneaks up behind Ranma and touches a point
at the base of his neck. Ranma looks up in surprise and turns to face
the hooded person, but it is too late, and he faints. *Fadeout*]
[ Ranma gets up and shakes his head in an attempt to clear it. He gets
off of his floor and stretches a bit. Looking about with some
bewilderment, he opens the door to the hallway. A look of shock covers
his face, as he looks out the door. Instead of the hallway to the rest
of the Tendo household, it opens onto a large street full of traditional
Japanese buildings.]

Part One : Arrival
=======================
Ranma - What the heck is going on? Where am I?
[ He looks up and down the street, which is fairly empty due to the
early hour. He sees a man dressed in traditional style, and runs up to
him. ]
Ranma - Excuse me, where am I?
Traditionally dressed man - Eh? You must be new here. You're in The
Village, of course.
Ranma - Yes, I realize that. I'm asking what the name of the village
is?
Traditionally dressed man - That's what I said, The Village.
Ranma - [Getting exasperated.] Now quit playing games with me! I want
to know where I am!
Traditionally dressed man - [Sighing] Yes, you newbies are always this
way. The name of the place is 'The Village'. That is the name of
the place.
Ranma - Argh! Never mind. Where's there a phone I can use?
Traditionally dressed man - A phone? There should be one right around
the corner.
[Ranma runs down the street in the direction that man pointed. He soon
comes to a stop in front of a large booth, which has an old style phone
which you hold the ear piece and mouth piece separately. Hesitantly, he
picks up the phone.]
Ranma - Hello? Operator?
Voice - Number please.
Ranma - Uh yes, I'd like to be connected to the Tokyo phone exch...
Voice - Number please.
Ranma - I was saying, I need to be...
Voice - No number, no phone call. [ The voice is replaced by a busy
signal. ]
Ranma - Damn it! Where the heck am I! Argh. Need to tone it down.
I'm starting to sound like Ryouga or something...
[Ranma looks up and down the street, not sure what to do next. A horse
drawn carriage pulls up to him as he is thinking. A pretty girl is
driving the carriage.]
Driver - Hello there handsome, need a ride?
Ranma - Eh?
Driver - Nihao...
Ranma - Uhh... I don't accept rides from strangers. [He thinks, *Uh
oh. Pretty girl being nice to me for no reason. Bad. Very
bad.*]
Driver - [Laughing] All the time that I've been driving a cab around,
I've never heard that reason before. Okay then, I'm Tomoe.
Ranma - Uh, I'm Ranma.
Tomoe - Okay then, now, do you need a ride?
Ranma - Umm... Sure.
[Ranma gets on the carriage, and Tomoe begins to drive it.]
Tomoe - Where to?
Ranma - Uh, wherever. Somewhere where I can get some information.
Tomoe - Aren't you a strange one? Okay, but we're only a local service.
[As the carriage goes down the street, Ranma sees more people, and some
of the shops opening. Most are dressed in very traditional Japanese
clothing.]
Ranma - Why did you speak to me in mandarin?
Tomoe - You're dressed like a Chinese. We get a few Taiwanese and a
good number of mainlanders here.
Ranma - Where is here, may I ask?
Tomoe - The Village, of course.
[As she speaks, she brings the carriage to a halt. They have arrived at
a large market place, which is now bustling with people.]
Tomoe - Well, you should be able to find most of anything you want here.
Good luck.
Ranma - [Getting off] - Umm... Thanks.
Tomoe - That'll be two units.
Ranma - Two units?
Tomoe - Credit units. Oh right, you're new here. That's okay, you can
pay me later. Its not like you'll be going away any time soon.
Maybe we can have some tea together also. [She flashes him an
attractive smile.] Be seeing you.
[The market place is laid out in a very old style, with vendors' booths
lining the narrow paths that crisscross the market. Ranma spots a store
with a compass on its sign and heads to it.]
Ranma - Excuse me, could I get a map of the region?
Owner - Eh? Of course you can. Would you like the color map or the
black and white map?
Ranma - Black and white will do.
Owner - [Searches through one of his shelves.] Here you go. That will
be six units.
[Ranma unfolds the map. The map shows part of a coast line. In the
center, there is a cluster of buildings labeled "The Village". The sea
is labeled, "The Sea", the mountains labeled "The Mountains", etc.
Ranma stares at the map for a while, and then looks up.]
Ranma - Could I get a larger map?
Owner - They only come in color. That's more expensive.
Ranma - That's okay.
Owner - [Searches through his shelves again.] Ah, here we are. Ten
units.
[Ranma unfolds the larger map. It is an exact replica of the other map,
except that everything is blown up and in color.]
Ranma - I meant a map of a larger area. Showing more of the surrounding
region.
Owner - Sorry, only local maps here.
Ranma - Uh, okay then. Sorry to bother you.
[In a daze, Ranma wanders through the market, apologizing when he bumps
into people. Soon, he is wandering down the streets, without really
looking at where he's going.]
Ranma - Where the heck am I? What's going on?
[Looking up, he realizes that he is back in front of the building he
started in. In front of the door is a sign with the number "6 1/2" in
bold characters. He approaches the door, which automatically opens for
him.]
Ranma - Weird
[ Stepping into the room, the view pans, and we see that it is an exact
replica of the guest room in the Tendo household. As Ranma takes his
shoes off and steps in, however, one of the walls lift away to show more
rooms. As Ranma begins to walk towards these, his phone begins to
ring.]
Ranma - [Picking up the phone.] Uh, hello?
Voice - Number Six and a Half?
Ranma - Uhh, excuse me?
Voice - Are you Number Six and a Half?
[Ranma remembers the number printed outside of his house. He also sees
the number, 6 1/2 printed on his phone.]
Ranma - That is the number of this residence
Voice - Excellent. Number Two would like to meet you. He's in the
large castle on the hill with the blue roof. You can't miss it.
[ Hanging the phone up, Ranma stares at it for a while. Then gathering
up his courage, Ranma steps out and looks about. The castle is a
prominent structure, rising above all the other buildings by many
stories. Ranma jogs up the hill at a good clip, and finally comes to
its front gate. Seeing a larger bell rope, he grabs it. ]
Ranma - Hope like hell this isn't some trap.
[As Ranma pulls on it, there is a faint chiming noise and the door opens
inwards. Ranma steps through to see Sasuke holding the door open.]
Ranma - You! That means
[Ranma walks into the room. It is richly decorated, but in a very bland
fashion, as if to meet the tastes of multiple people without offending
any of them. There is only one other door out of that room, and Ranma
opens it.]
Ranma - Okay Kunou, I know you're in here!
[A ball rises out of the center of the floor and turns to reveal Kunou
Tatewaki sitting in it. He stands up and opens his arms in a gesture of
greeting.]
Kunou - Ah, Number Six and a Half! Tis truly gracious of thee to join
me on this fine morn.
Ranma - Like hell! And what's this Six and a Half business, Kunou?
Kunou - Ah, I am called Number Two. Thou art Number Six and a Half.
Surely thou wouldst join me for a simple repast, ne?
[With the touch of a button, a platform rises out of the floor with a
full meal set upon it.]
No. 2 - Come hither! Thy hunger must be great from thine arduous
voyage.
Ranma - Cut the chase, Kunou. Why have you brought me here?
[No. 2 eyes Ranma critically, then pushes a button, bringing a seat up.]
No. 2 - I beseech thee, make thine self comfortable. We will converse
of these matters in due time.
[Ranma stalks over to Kunou and grabs him by the scruff of the neck.]
Ranma - I WANT ANSWERS NOW.
No. 2 - Very well. If thou couldst unhand myself [Ranma slowly
complies to Kunou's request. As Kunou begins speaking again, his
mode of speech changes drastically.] Certain parties are
interested as to why you decided to leave the Tendo Dojo.
Ranma - What? I already told Kasumi.
No. 2 - Yes, and I'd like to believe that too. But certain parties
They need to make sure.
Ranma - Who wants to know?
No. 2 - They would. I'm really not at liberty to say, you know.
Personally, I absolutely believe what you told Kasumi, but When
as many people care about you and why you're doing things You
must understand, pig tailed girl.
Ranma - [Spluttering] You know!
No. 2 - Oh yes, we know everything about you here. [Kunou touches a
button on his console, which begins a slide show on the far wall.]
Remember this day? Ah, yes, you had just waited three days
straight to fight Ryouga, but he had never shown up. You were
sick from standing in the rain all day, running a fever. You
didn't know where your father was, nor did you care. Wait, what
was that noise behind you? There? And there! Over there!
[Kunou picks up a binder and tosses it over to Ranma.] We know
everything about you.
Ranma - [Flipping through the file] The only thing you seem to be
missing is my measurements as a female.
No. 2 - Then why don't you supply it for us?
Ranma - Its Hey, you pervert!
No. 2 - As I recall, you are the one that mentioned it. Anyway, Ranma,
I don't relish the thought of trying to break you. Why don't you
just tell us why you left?
Ranma - I already told you! I'm sick of this. I'm outta here.
No. 2 - That may not be such a wise thing to try
[Ranma pays no heed to Kunou and marches out the door. Sasuke once
again opens the door for him as he stomps out.]
No. 2 - Be seeing you. Yes, most definitely will be a challenge.
[Kunou picks up a yellow phone on his console.] Control room,
where is Number Six and a Half headed?
Voice - He's headed for the beach. It looks as if he may head for the
restricted zone.
No. 2 - We can't have that, can we. Control room, I want him brought
back.
Voice - As you wish, Number Two.
[We cut to Azusa standing in the middle of what looks like the Control
room.]
Azusa - Yellow alert, yellow alert. All units, yellow alert. Number
Six and a Half is headed east on the KAWAII!!! Gerard! This
phone is so cute!
No. 2's voice - Damn it, Number Eighteen! Dispatch the units first.
No. 18 - Gerard!!! Oh, right. All units, Number Six and a Half is
headed eastbound along the beach. He will reach the restricted
zone in about five minutes. Yellow alert. Yellow alert.
Gerard!!!
[Ranma is running along the beach as a number of men on horse back close
down on him. Realizing that he won't be able to outrun the horses,
Ranma turns around and executes a drop kick at the lead rider.]
Ranma - Okay then, let's see what you've got!
[Ranma mounts the horse who's rider he just disposed of, and bears down
on the other riders, who are turning around to face him. Ranma charges
in at them and clotheslines one of other riders as he passes. On the
next pass, however, Ranma is knocked from his mount.]
Ranma - Ugh. [When the riders dismount to grab him, however, Ranma
jumps back out of the sand and knocks them down in quick
succession.] Wimps.
[We see the images of Ranma's fight being displayed on one of Kunou's
walls.]
No. 2 - Hmm Yes, definitely a challenge. Control room? Yes, deploy
Rover.
[Cut to Control room.]
No. 18 - Rover! Oh, Rover is sooooooooooo KAWAII!!!!!!!!
No. 2's voice - Number Eighteen!!!
No. 18 - [Under her breath] Grumpy idiot. [She picks up a red phone.]
Orange alert. Orange alert. All units standby for orange alert.
[We see some movement at the bottom of the ocean floor. Suddenly, a
HUGE cat breaks the surface of the water and begins flying after Ranma.]
Ranma - What the C. C.. C CAT!!! AHHHHH!!!!
[Ranma runs faster, but Rover continues to gain on him. Ranma swims out
into the ocean, hoping to get away, but Rover's speed is not hampered,
while Ranma-chan starts to get pulled down by the waves. Finally,
Ranma-chan faints, and Rover goes to pull her out.]
No. 2 - Yes, he will be a hard one to break. Be seeing you, Number Six
and a Half.
=======================
Okay, this is the first part to my Ranma - Prisoner x-over. I don't
diverge much from the first episode, "Arrival" in the hopes that it
will help give people the feel of "The Prisoner"
I know that Biles already started this. The project was low priority
for him though, and I begged it off of him. In the end, its okay,
because he was going to do more of a spoof, while I will try to stay
as true to the original feel of "The Prisoner" as I can.
Be seeing you. 6_^
