Quite so. The Nabiki that supports the dojo has somehow become a part of 
fanfic canon, although this is not supported in the manga. Nabiki is 
supposed to be a master of manipulating people for self-indulgence. A 
sort of leech, if you don't mind the harsh language. She has been shown 
to use her own money--for herself, however.

So how do the Tendous keep afloat? Don't ask and you don't need to know 
:) They just do.
