At the very least, they could both do a decent amount against
Yajirobi. >)

Even if he didn't show up until after, say, the point when Gouku and
co. storm Piccolo's castle, that might still be early enough for him
to catch up with the regular humans.

if it was during the first series Yajirobe would kick the crap outa em :)
.. never understood why Yajirobe was never given any respect.. he was
around the same power if not stronger than Goku when they first met.. which
means he was significantly more powerful than everyone else.. ah well...
they did the same thing to my other fav character, Yamucha.. anyone i liked
in that series got turned into a wuss...
