I've already begun the writing on this, but as the title says, I'd like
some advice.
Ranma trips while training and breaks his leg. Upon hearing that it will
take a month to heal, Genma decides that to take Ranma home instead of to
Josenkyo. Hence, both he and Ranma arrive uncursed. Upon meeting the
three girls, Nabiki chooses to be the fiance. Reason: Ranma's cute,
buff, and easy to manipulate. Ryouga arrives, but only fights Ranma the
first time. After Ranma returns the bread, Ryouga leaves, bitter, but
without a reason to truly hate Ranma. Shampoo never shows up at all.
About three months later, Genma takes Ranma off to finish the training
journey. Yes, Jusenkyo happens. Ryouga avoids a curse altogether, having
fallen for Akane and is in Nerima desperately trying to build up the
confidence to ask Akane out. NB Ryouga isn't quite as bitter as the
Manga, never being cursed with the pig, but is still somewhat bitter and
depressed. Ranma returns cursed, not sure what cursed for is yet. I'm
considering Tarou's, Drowned Girl, or something completely different.
Genma gets one also, again I'm not sure what. The sticking point is how
Nabiki reacts. In the Manga, Nabiki says, "What's wrong with a guy that
changes into a girl?" at one point. but when the shoe's on the other
foot... Most of the fic up to Ranma's return will be in flashback form,
as the Ranma/Nabiki reaction is important, not the rising action. And
yes, I'm adding multiple fiances. I decided not to have Ranma engaged to
Akane for a long string of reasons. I'll explain them in private mail if
you want specifics.
I'm looking for opinions on what the curses should be, will anyone read
it, or why I should be flayed alive for not realising that xxx should be
yyy. Anything else will odviously be read. Reply to me personally unless
you think you're point should told to everyone, but I can't see why you
would.
