Hi!
	Recently, a poster on the Fanfic Writers' ML asked how he could 
learn which motifs/scenes/plotlines had been done to death in Blake's 
Seven fanfic, so that he could avoid them.  It turns out there was a list 
of sorts.
	I'd like to do the same for Ranma and Sailor Moon, which are the 
current champs in fic production in anime fandom.
	So what I'd like you to do is send me (private e-mail)
a list of "things done to death", in your humble opinion, in either 
fandom.  Note that this is not a list of "least favorite cliches", "bad 
fan canon", or "things that never should have been done in the first 
place."  Just stuff you've seen once or a hundred times too often.  It 
can be as broad as "Akane gets kidnapped" or as specific as "Ranma 
reveals that he could have stopped the mallet any time he felt like it."  
	And one more qualifier:  Each item on the list has to be 
accompanied by the name (and author,if possible) of a story that did the 
best job, in your opinion, of using the item.  Ideally, a few lines on 
why this story works well with the plotline/scene/cliche should be 
included. 
	EXAMPLE
	"Ranma and Akane *finally* confess their true feelings for one 
another." 
	Best Story:  "Autumn" by Joseph Palmer.  It builds well on the 
previous "Seasons" stories and uses vivid imagery to convey the emotions 
involved without getting sappy.

	Note that this is only an example.  If you feel the above is a 
dead horse, you are welcome to nominate it again, along with your 
favorite story of the type.

	Results will be posted when I have enough.
