						 Twisted Realmz Presents,
							 Destinys Child
						 A Ranma 1/2 Fan fiction
						   Chronicled by Wyvern

Authors notes: This is my first fanfic ever, so be kind when youre
reading it. Theres going to be a lot of swearing, violence, and
unrepentant blood letting in this fanfic, so those of you who are
squeamish, dont read this. This does not take place in any particular
spot in the series, (it does take place before the failed wedding
attempt), but all the characters know all their special techniques
(quickly hides a book titled Time Manipulation for Fun and Profit).
Unfortunately, I live in America and only have up to book 10 of the
manga, so I have no idea as to what those techniques look like, and I
only know how the characters act through reading the manga I have, and
fan 'fics. Sigh, oh well. Of course, C&C are welcome -you really dont
want to see me beg. Its not a pretty sight- and you are welcome to
completely dissect and rip up my story about _everything_, except if the
characters seem OOC. They were meant to be that way. Also, I am trying
to keep the fanfic fodder (I.e, Akanes mallets, Kasumis Oh mys,
etc.) But remember, this _is_ a fanfic, and I do have _some_ artistic
license (just a little one). In general, though, I will try to keep it
as close to the manga as possible.

Disclaimer: I dont own any of the Ranma, Dragon Ball Z or FF3
characters, or attacks. Rumiko Takahashi owns Ranma, Akira Toriyama owns
Dragon Ball Z and Squaresoft owns FF3. I, however, own the Twisted
Realmz characters (i.e, all the unknown characters), and all things
related to them. If you would like to borrow them, ask me first.

Book One 1: The Quest Begins
								Prologue

It was a hot, lazy, summer day in Nerima. It was a day when all Ranma
wanted to do was lie down and sleep. Unfortunately, what Ranma wanted to
do didnt figure into the mayhem and chaos that some uncaring deity had
planned for him today. Right now, he was busy trying to avoid eating
the....thing that Akane had cooked up and was trying to force down his
throat.
You get back here _right_ _now_ and eat what Ive made for you! Akane
yelled as she chased Ranma across the yard carrying a plate of what
_appeared_ to be cookies.
No way am I going to be the guinea pig for your attempts at cooking!
Ranma jumped off of the birdhouse he was perching on and flipped over
his fiances head. Besides, I dont want to be sick for the martial
arts tournament thats coming up.
	Thats a week away!
Exactly. If I eat that....thing.....youre carrying now, I wont stand
a chance against the other contenders and I need to be in perfect shape
for that contest, he called back over he shoulder as he landed in the
tree.
RANMA!! I put so much effort into these!I followed Kasumi's recipe to
the letter.
Akane, knowing you, there's _nothing_ in the world that can help your
cooking, he taunted, confident in his ability to avoid his fiances
attacks. What he hadnt counted on was the sudden intervention of a well
thrown skillet connecting rather hardly with his head.
RANMA! YOU. WILL. EAT. MY. COOKING! she growled at him as he lay
under the tree stunned. Ranma gulped, fear driving all confusion from
his mind. He looked at the proffered plate of cookies and noted in a
clinical manner, that they seemed to glow with a black malevolent light.
His hand shook violently as he slowly took one and brought it to his
mouth. Biting down into it, he waited for the imminent reaction. Needles
to say, he wasnt disappointed.
The cookie burned on its way down, the salt and vinegar mixed with
cinnamon leaving an interesting and painful residue on his tongue.
Traveling further, the cookie hit his stomach, setting off warning bells
in all of his cells. Responding immediately, his white cells hurried
toward the offending piece of matter and, after a long and costly
battle, managed to drive the harmful toxins from his body.
All these internal workings translated into Ranma turning several
interesting shades and the rising of his half digested breakfast.
Responding to the urgent warning signals of his stomach, Ranma jumped up
and sprinted for the house, accidentally knocking the plate of cookies
from Akanes hands and into the pond. He reemerged a few seconds later,
a bit paler and wiping his mouth with his hand.
Akane looked up from where she had been staring at the soggy remnant of
her cookies in the pond at the sound of his footsteps.
Ranma... she growled.	Ranma looked up, and noticed Akane glaring at
him and glowing. Her mallet suddenly appeared from where ever it was
that she got them.
Wait, Akane! Its not my fault! he exclaimed as he backed away.
	...You...
If you had actually looked at what you were putting into your cookies,
they wouldnt be so bad!
	Jerk!!
Realizing that arguing with Akane when she was in this sort of mood was
futile, Ranma turned and ran. Straight into Ryoga, who had chosen that
moment to wander into the Tendo compound. Covered with dirt from long
days on the trail and a confused look on his face, the eternally lost
boy looked around the compound he had just stumbled into. It seemed so
familiar. He felt something bump into him and decided to ask this
(hopefully) nice person where he was.
Excuse me, but can you.... Ryoga began, before noticing who it was
that had run into him. Ranma! How dare you run into me! His umbrella
was swinging toward his enemy before he had even finished speaking.
Ranma eeped and jumped back, directly into the powerful arc of Akanes
mallet.
A loud, meaty, smack could be heard all over the neighborhood as the
back of Ranmas head connected with the front of Akanes mallet. His
body went flying toward the pond, head first. Unfortunately, or perhaps
fortunately for Ranma, Akanes aim was a bit off today. Maybe it was the
humidity, or perhaps she pulled a muscle yesterday doing the exact same
thing, but whatever it was, Ranma overshot the pond and instead embedded
his head into a tree.
Now anyway you look at it, being hit in the head is dangerous for
anybody. It can cause the loss of precious brain cells and rather
annoying concussions and comas. But in the case of one Ranma Saotome, it
is doubly dangerous to get hit in the head. For deep within him
slumbered a most glorious and ancient power, that was a memory from a
life long gone, where the one called Ranma had been the brightest and
the best of all of the minions of The Light. This ancient power awaited
the day when Ranmas body and mind were prepared to receive it and it
could once more enter the real world. But like all repressed memories,
it could be jogged into the consciences mind with all the dreadful power
and deadly consequences of and atomic bomb. And unfortunately for those
involved, thats exactly what happened.
The power awoke from its long sleep with destructive nature that
dwarfed Akanes cooking in pure deadly potential. It flooded Ranmas
mind with memories and knowledge. Voices of people long since gone
resounded within his skull, all crying for attention. Events from long
gone replayed themselves all at once before his eyes, with no coherent
or chronological order. Battles fought long ago overloaded his senses
making him feel every wound, every hit the enemy scored and tore and
frayed his nerves beyond repair, until all he could feel was danger.
Ranma pulled his head out of the dent it had created and staggered a
few steps forward. His mind was confused, overloaded by all the
different stimuli. Flickering eyes rested for a moment upon his hands,
seeing layer upon layer of different images. Broken and bloody, yet
triumphant. Clutched around another's heart. Grasping bright golden
coins greedily. Holding a ornate dagger aimed for his chest. He
staggered a few more steps, then dropped to his knees, the many images
sapping his strength.
Stop it! he cried out, Leave me alone! Get out of my head! His
hands clawed at his hair, as if doing so would exorcise the pain, and
his body writhed in convulsions on the ground.
Akane looked at him in concern, rushing to his side, her mallet
forgotten. Ranma, what are you talking about? Stop before you hurt
yourself. Ryoga, help me! She grabbed on of his arms, applying all of
her weight to it, effectively pinning one side of his body to the
ground.
Ryoga frowned, but since it was Akane asking, did as she said. He
hurried forward and grabbed the other, immobilizing the twisting body
and preventing it from harming itself. He sighed with relief as Ranma
slowly stopped moving, it was hard work keeping him on the ground. Then
he got his first good look at Ranma.
His face was shiny with sweat and his eyes were wide and staring. They
seemed to glow with a feverish inner light and seemed to see something
that no one else could. His eyes were mere pinpricks amidst the light,
blue-gray hue of his irises. His mouth was open and his breaths came in
short, panting gasps. Leaning close, Ryoga could hear the soft tenor
voice of Ranma whispering no over and over again. Ryoga shivered, the
sight of Ranmas twisted face and frightened whispering causing the hair
on the back of his neck to stand straight up and his finely honed sixth
sense warn him of danger.
For indeed, there was danger, for Ranma was not just suffering from a
mental breakdown. The power that had flooded his mind, leaving him
helpless, was also invading his body. It flowed into his blood stream
like a physical stream of molten light, starting from the very center of
his being. It burned its way through his very cellular structure,
flooding his very essence with a power that rivaled that of the very
cosmos themselves. But as it swept through his body it slowly killed
him. Then brought him back to life. It chewed up him up, spat him out,
then painfully wrung him dry and bandaged him. And still it swept
inexorably onward. Now it had exited his physical body and was flowing
to his chi, filling it to the bursting point, spilling out into his
aura, which grew brighter and hotter with each beat of his faltering
heart. But this could not hold it off for long, and the excess chi
needed an egress. And so, it chose the first one available.
Ranma arched his back and threw his head back, screaming for the split
second before the chi burst from his mouth, searing and burning his
throat as it passed in an undetectable agony. It streamed out of his
eyes, incinerating them completely, yet still leaving them whole. It
oozed out of every pore of his being and surrounded him in an
incandescent pillar of heat and light that disintegrated him atom by
atom, and painfully put him back together as it went.
Akane and Ryoga screamed also, as the burning light enveloped them with
a heat that was hotter than the sun, yet it did not destroy. Their cries
hit Ranma with an almost physical force, forcing their way into his
dazed mind. They filled his ears and his mind, until all he could think
about was doing something to make those screams stop. And thats what he
did.

Moments later silence once more reigned around the block, as a that was
left of the fearful screams was a large black circle, slowly covered by
a gentle rain of falling ash.

Authors end notes: [eerie music is playing] Bwah, ha, ha! Bwa....hack,
cough [Wyvern attempts an evil laugh but ends up coughing] Owww, my
throat. Huh, the prologues over? Well now, I guess that means that I
should probably start writing chapter one. Doh! Anyway, I would like to
thank my pre-readers, Sam Gonhue, Lord Talon and Chad Yang. Oh, BTW,
whatd everyone think of the ending? I hope youre not assuming _too_
much. Not good for your sanity, ya know. The really weird thing is that
I didnt even _plan_ for the ending to end the way it did. It just
happened. [eerie music begins to play] Would who ever is playing that
cut it out!! [music screeches to a halt] Much better. So, I guess Id
better wrap this up, before my counterparts get too rowdy. Be on the
look out for Chapter One. It should be out sometime soon. I hope.
