Regarding the recent fanfic in which Sasami was asleep with Tenchi. I don't understand
why that would upset Ayeka. She grew up with two mothers and she's used to a household
where there is a husband and two wives. Would she be happy that Sasami was in love with
Tenchi since, in her mind, that would mean he would belong to her and Sasami and she
wouldn't have to share him with Ryoko?

    <Sounds of knuckles cracking>

No debates, please, this is just an observation.

Awww man! Oh well, point of fact, or as near as we have on the plethora of eclectic
offerings we know as Tenchi, or, "All them there series that don't seema match up no matter
how you slice it," ahem... of the two wives, seemingly, one should be an offworlder.

Ayeka- <direct quote> Our father made the law, that after him we should mix blood with
other planets.

One being Ayeka's, the alien blood belonging to Yosho's parents.

There's currently no way of knowing whether or not polygamy was part and parcel of the
whole Jurian Emperor gig before the ruling, but the way the law seems to stand currently,
Tenchi will most likely take a wife from Jurai and one from outside. Of course, this all
assumes fanfiction conventions, mixed with the abominable 101 Secrets and some simple OAV
observation and could all be collective Ryouga soap. Then there's the possibility that our
hero and Ned Flanders impersonator junks the old rules, as apparently Great Grand pa did,
and make some new ones.

Ataru- <paraphrase> Why I could have a harem, I could even practice debauchery, I always
wanted to do that, ever since I heard about it.

Anyway, if the author was taking the above as canon, Ayeka's fears could easily be
attributed to not wanting to be bumped from the Jurian position when the marriage feast's
seating arrangements come up. One of the nice things about writing for Tenchi is that so
little is actually explained in even the most holy of holy canonical sources, so you've got
lots of room to make it up as you go along. Heck, that's how the TV series got started. ^_-

Side Note- Lt. Trakal, if you'd be so kind, I'd appreciate a word with you on a writing
project, specifically, Craft 54, Where the !@#$ Are You? Lemme know privately if your
interested.
