She invited the Royal Family. However we've heard twice, once from her
own thoughts, that she was ready to forgive Usagi. (If she had issued a
Usagi-specific invitation, things might have come out differently.)
Well it might not have been clear but Sakuya did invite Usagi directly. She
specifically asks for Usagi.
By the way, I'd like to take this opportunity to say a few things about
Doug's "Younger" series. In its own way, it's as different from
"standard" Sailor Moon fics as are Mark Page (also known as Dark Day for
Anime)'s fics.
O_o thanks... I'm speechless....
While admittedly a little too "sugary" for my tastes, we get a detailed
picture of the dynamics of the Royal Family of Crystal Tokyo.
Definitely a different kind of story.
Both Will and I must plead guilty to it being a little sugary. We like
those types of stories except for the very rare one (i.e. "Mama's Hand")
Even though I want to strangle the characters half the time (and shake
my head in disgust the other half), I think it's worth checking out.
Well that's a new one. I've heard of strangle/love and the like but never
strangle/disgust; interesting combination.
The one thing I think the story misses is the lack of a "rebel"
character. Sakuya is the closest the story comes, and I can't seem to
identify with her at all. I don't know. Maybe a pacifist or something.
Well there is Younger Uranus and Younger Mercury. Sakuya would never
readily fit into the "rebel" mold. I won't promise anything but... there I
might have one sitting off on the wings.
