What I dont get is this:

Ranma gets locked in female form and decides to atempt suicide. A little
ooc IMHO but perfectly understandable as a plot device. Bow, he wouldn't
have voluntarily gone to teh happy house of his own free will after
attempting that, and family honour would dictate that if he couldn't
marry a Tendou (and raise a family, that is the reason for the marriage
after all), he would be dishonoured. Nodoka especially would want him to
commit suicide if that was the case. Nodoka seems seriously ooc in this
fic.

perhaps Ukyou got to him first after the suicide attempt, and decided to
hide him from his mother for a while. OTOH, death by slit wrists
probably does not count as an honourable death of the kind that would be
required by Nodoka.
