DiScLaImEr:

The five gorgeous hunks of GUNDAM WING, not to mention their glitzy
mechs, belong to those warped minds in Bandai. This makes it really hard
for me to covet them for my own. These fifteen-year-old terrorists make
me think back to the time when I was fifteen... man, I really missed a
lot!!!

hmm...hmmm...guess I haven't been living my life to the fullest...

Know any mecha-totting terrorist organization I can join? (Please send
info through e-mail.)
									:)elf.
P.S.
And by the way---Yes, this is a spam fic.

				Nightmares and Breakfast

"... Come to my parlor," said the spider to the fly.

He struggled against the gossamer silk threads that held him
captive, but the harder he tried, the more he got entangled in it. Then,
from the corner of his eye, he saw her approach.

She was a vision in a yellow ball gown with its full skirt. Her
long blond hair styled into an elegant French braid, the sapphire
earrings bringing out her blue eyes. Amazingly, their coldness
complemented her saccharine sweet smile. She carried a tea set as she
glided effortlessly across the rainbow-dyed web.

	"Tea?"

"No, thank you. Just get me out of here, Dorothy."

"But we haven't even started the lesson yet."

Just then, ten young OZ recruits crawled over to join them. Dorothy
smiled in welcome and told the group to stand in a circle around the two
of them.

"Now, let's begin our lesson for the day..." She carelessly threw
away the silver tea tray and stood next to him, placing a hairy appendage
on his shoulder.

"... 'How to Dissect a Gundam Pilot'."

Quatre's terrified scream split the night.

"Noodles, again! I'm not really into that longevity crap, but at
the rate we're going, we might even give Methuselah a run for his money!"
Duo complained around the fine strips of dough dangling on his
chopsticks.

"I doubt it. Between the Earth government and OZ, we'll lucky if we
even manage to reach twenty," the blond boy across him muttered.

	<Bzzz... Bzzz... Bzzz>

"Quatre, hand me that map will you?" This coming from Trowa, who
was keeping an eye on the airborne pest intent on making a crash landing
in his noodles.

	"What for?"

"This fly's starting to get on my last nerve. I want to make sure
it doesn't get to do the backstroke in my breakfast."

Then suddenly, without warning, Quatre exploded in a tirade, "It's
all this killing! We've forgotten that life has value no matter how
small! Don't you have any respect left for a such a harmless little
creature?!"

Duo, who was trying to braid his noodles using his chopsticks, was
dismayed to find that his braided masterpiece just slipped and plopped
down on the floor. Trowa's usual deadpan expression gave way to surprise.

Quatre, the most naive, innocent, and timid member of their group
was taking a zealous stand for the life of... a fly?

"Hey, whazzat?" Duo pointed at the critter crawling leisurely up
the blond boy's pant leg.

"Ack! A spider!" Quatre scrambled on to his feet, slapping his
pants and started stomping on the arachnid.

"DIE, YOU EIGHT-LEGGED FREAKIN' BITCH! DIE!" he shouted, pounding
the spider mercilessly into the hard ground.

Duo eyed the gooey green splatter left of the harmless little
spider and cleared his throat, "Ah... you were saying, Quatre-sama?"

... sound of leather straps being buckled resounded with finality in the
stark room.

"This won't take long," he told his companion, who was sitting on a
serviceable wooden chair.

The high whine of the electric shaver sang through his veins. It
was so different from the timid 'snips' a pair of scissors would
undoubtedly produce. Long brown locks piled up into neat little mounds,
littering the white tiled floor of the room, his off-key whistling
echoing against the walls.

The shaver plunked on the table.

He reached for a metal cap and placed it on the bald head. He
looked up at the wall clock, it read 11:45.

"Let's do it anyway," he shrugged, "I mean, 15 minutes. wouldn't
make that much of a difference, right?"

"Nnnn...mmmmpf..." came the muffled protest behind the strip of
duct tape.

Heero turned his back and walked towards a fuse box; he stood there
with his hand on the lever. He was smiling.

	"Brain fry."

"You really think I should get my hair cut?"

"Nothing drastic, just to trim off those burnt ends," Quatre
offered.

"Really, Duo, the next time you cook up a flambeaux, try not to
torch up your hair as well." This coming from Trowa, who settled himself
beside the American, who was busy unbraiding his long brown hair from its
usual plait.

"Good morning, guys," Heero greeted everyone at the campsite.

Everyone stared at him in utter amazement.

	Heero Yuy was actually smiling.

Now, this was something that didn't happen every morning. The odds
of it ever happening were comparable to the possibility of resuscitating
the dried green splatter on the floor (a VERY dead spider, thanks to
Quatre's pounding) that had graced that spot since yesterday morn.

Heero took his seat directly across Duo and playfully chucked him
under the chin. "You need a haircut, buddy?" he asked appealingly. "Heck,
I'll be glad to give you one for free."

"Something weird is going on here," Quatre whispered, elbowing Duo
on the ribs, "I think he's actually come to 'like' you."

"Man, he's freaking me out!" Duo muttered from the corner of his
mouth at Trowa. "I think someone got past Wufei last night and managed to
switch our dear schizophrenic Heero with this... this... God! I don't
even KNOW what to call this thing!" cocking his head at Heero's general
direction.

Wufei glared at him; he palmed the small paring knife and sent it
sailing through the air with deadly accuracy. Duo ducked down, half-
sprawling over their makeshift table to dodge the blade. It struck the
crate behind him with a loud thud.

"I heard that, you uncouth barbarian! You dare imply that I'm
neglecting my duties as night watch!" the Chinese boy snarled.

Trowa didn't even flinch. When Duo looked at him inquiringly, Trowa
turned his head and glanced at the blade that was no more than two inches
from the tip of his nose.

"I'm used to it... Catherine gets to do this to me all the time."

Heero watched the whole exchange with an air of acute boredom. He
leaned over the table and tugged at Duo's braid. "Well, how 'bout it? My
offer still stands - I don't usually feel this generous, you know," he
reminded him, a touch of impatience edging into his voice.

"Oh, hell, why not? I'd be stupid to pass up this rare show of
kindness from you," Duo said aloud, then turned to wink at Quatre, "I
mean, it's not as if he's going to shave my head, right?"

"No. Don't... not that, anything but that! Aaaah! NOOO! Please,
stop! I can't take it anymore! Make him stop... oh, GOD, please make him
STOP! I'm begging you, just please make him..."

"Trowa, do you think we ought to wake Duo up?" Quatre asked
sleepily.

"No, just let him be. It'll pass."

Trowa felt him sigh in resignation, the material of the sleeping
bag rustled as he burrowed deeper.

"I feel sorry for him, at least I have you to keep my nightmares at
bay..."

That was the last thing he said before sleep took over once again.
Trowa sat up from the confines of his own sleeping bag and reached out to
gently pat his friend's blond head.

"Goodnight, Quatre." Then he turned over to sneak a peek at the boy
who was sleeping soundly at his left. "And it used to be Heero who was
usually plagued with nightmares."

"Nihao, Wufei. You sure are early this morning," Duo greeted in
between bites of the breakfast Quatre prepared for them that morning.

"Shut up," Wufei snarled back - he was usually awake an hour
earlier than this. The reason for his tardiness sat right across the
table, stuffing his face with granola bars.

"You're the one to talk, you just got up yourself," Trowa
reprimanded, putting Duo in his place.

"I came this close..." Wufei held out his right hand, his
forefinger and thumb just barely touching, "... to slitting your damn
throat last night, just to shut you up." And with that, he grabbed two
granola bars then stalked away.

"Well, that's one Chinese who woke up on the wrong side of his
Nataku," Duo mumbled.

Quatre tilted his head to the side and gave him a scrunched-up,
scrutinizing look. "Actually, you don't look too cool yourself, with that
dark sitting under your eyeballs."

"Geez, thanks." Duo got his sunglasses from his pocket and slipped
them on before opening another pack of granola.

Quatre could be so beautifully, simply, and painfully honest
sometimes. His self-esteem just doesn't stand a chance.

Trowa sighed and turned his attention back to Heero's attempt to
hack into another OZ computer system.

"I see Heero switched back to his zombie mode again. I just
realized that I like him much better this way." Duo nodded, "Yup,
definitely much better this way."

"Zombie mode?" Quatre asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"Oh, c'mon, you've been around Trowa often enough not to be
familiar with it!"

Quatre just shook his head and continued to look at him like a
dazed duck. Cute, real cute, but like a dazed duck nonetheless.

Duo just rolled his eyes, "You know, like they've just stuck a
dozen anesthetic needles to their faces to freeze up those facial
muscles."

The blond boy's childlike features collapsed into a reproving
frown.

	"That wasn't very nice, Duo-san."

"Yeah... well, I'm sorry. Must be the lack of sleep, making me
edgy."

"Well, you had quite a nightmare last night. Care to talk about
it?" Quatre casually asked, trying not to sound like he was prying.

"Nah, it's nothin'." Duo replied flippantly. But he shuddered just
the same when Heero caught his eye and smirked at him evilly. This caused
him to swallow a bite of granola without chewing and have it go down his
throat the wrong way.

	"Kkoff... kokff..."

"Here, drink this." Quatre quickly handed him a tumbler of water.

Duo gulped the liquid down. "Thanks," he said, rubbing his chest.
Suddenly, his expression turned deadly serious as he pulled Quatre
closer. "Actually, I dreamed that Heero stuck a dozen anesthetic needles
to MY face and I ended up just like one of them!"

"Them?" Quatre asked once again with his usual clueless charm.

"THEM!" Duo practically screeched, gesturing frantically with his
hands at Trowa and Heero. "It was the ultimate nightmare! I mean, imagine
ME turning into one of THEM..."
