One doesn't have to be better than something to state what it is. 
I haven't read Bubblegum Zone lately; while I don't necessarily feel that
it's 'schlock', I do feel that it, like much (nearly everything after book
1) of the Eyrie stuff dips too far into the dark and doesn't show enough
of the light.  It's fine to be dark, but it wears thin and unrealistic
after a billion words that all stab to the bone.  I'll say it right now; I
believe a large amount of the Eyrie works, specifically Undocumented
Features, is schlock.  Ask me why, but don't do it here.

I think you're so deep into the UF fanboyism that you aren't willing to
accept anyone's words as anything but an attack on your beloved UF and
