Hi folks!
You people know why fanfics are so popular? Because, most probably, the 
readers have some experience with the series it deals with. For the same 
reason, original fics aren't all that well recieved. Readers can't 
associate with what the original fic deals with. That's part of the 
problem.
Enough with the rant. I'm interested in starting an original fic with 
anime feel, but for some reason I can't bring myself to write it. It's 
all planned out, with a little timeline and everything. All the research 
is done (mostly in stickies), and I could start anytime I want to, 
but... Well, let's just call it scribe's block. Anyway, it's going to be 
a original fic set in an original world, with original characters.
A little bit on the contents: Basically, the world is similar to the one 
you're introduced to in Final Fantasy VII. The only difference is, the 
main character never steps out of the city the story starts in. And, oh, 
the world's not owned by some major kick-ass corporation. The science is 
more computer-based. The city's completely different from Midgar.
The main character, a newspaper reporter, finds out a few things he's 
never known, and ends up protecting the city from its doom. Basically a 
dark and serious fic, sort of in the style of Key the Metal Idol.
