[The Kthulhu starship, MSTing Theater.  Andrew is sitting slumped in a
chair, apparently asleep.  Suddenly, a girl with blonde ponytailed hair,
clad in a white and blue Iczelion-like powersuit, appears out of hammerspace.]

Yuna: Hey! We're on!
Andrew: Huh? What's... Yikes, I'm on! Yuna, is one of the Iczers here?
Yuna: No, they're all over on the Lightsphere set, remember?  I'm filling in.
Andrew: Okay.  Did you bring any special guests?
Yuna: Sure did.  Our special guests are... Ten'ou Haruka and Kaioh Michiru,
AKA Sailors Uranus and Neptune!
Haruka: Konnichi wa...
Michiru: Let's start MSTing ths trory, ne? 

  Here we are.  Part 3.  Yes, *finally*  For those of you who have been
waiting for it, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.  

  
Andrew: I sure hope not.
Haruka: Of course, if we are, we can always set Iczer-2 on him... [VEG]

Where Does My Heart Beat Now? - Part 3

  When Chaos appeared in front of Nagisa and Kawai, the two girls could
think of only one response:

  "CHARGING UP!!!"

  With those two words, Nagisa Kai and Kawai Kawai disappeared, and the
Normal Type and Silver Iczelions took their place, ready to fight an enemy
they thought they had defeated once before...

  "Chaos!" Nagisa said, "We defeated you!  How did you survive?"

Andrew: Don't people EVER learn?  Okay, all together now:
All: DEATH IS ONLY TEMPORARY.
Michiru: Especially in fanfic.

  Chaos laughed sinisterly.  "When one has played the game of destruction
as long as I have, you learn to have an escape ready just in case."

  Nagisa thought back to her Iczel's flashback.  The systematic
destruction of an entire planet and it's population.  The last Iczelion
Normal Type.  The final destruction of the planet.  <He call destruction
like that a *game*?  

Yuna: Geez, and I thought that "Doom" thing was bad.

This time,> Nagisa thought, <he will not get away! 
For all the people who died by his hand, he will not get away this time, I
swear it!>

  Kawai looked at Nagisa.  <I thought I heard something just now, but I
guess I didn't.>

  "Well?" Chaos asked, "What are you waiting for?  I relish the chance the
paint a canvas with your blood, and I am an impatient man."

  Both Iczelions shuddered.  "You're not a man," Nagisa said, "you're
nothing but a monster!"  With that, raised her arms and fired an energy
beam at Chaos.

  The beam bounced off a shield surrounding Chaos.  "Pathetic." Chaos
said.  He raised his arm. "My turn."

All: {Slightly worried}

  Small spheres appeared around Nagisa and Kawai.  Chaos dropped his arm,
and the spheres began flashing with energy charges, shocking Nagisa and
Kawai.  

  The two Iczelions managed to break out of the energy web that surrounded
them and went after Chaos.  As they flew towards Chaos, Nagisa had a
feeling of deja-vu.  <This seems familiar...like...the dream!!!!>  "Kawai!!
WAIT!!!"

Yuna {Nagisa voice}: We don't want Andrew to make another South Park ref!

  Kawai turned around to face Nagisa, and in doing so, failed to see the
energy beam that was coming at her.  The beam struck, and crying out in
pain, Kawai fell to the ground.

  "KAWAI!!!!" Nagisa flew after her friend.  Landing by her, Nagisa could
see that the damage wasn't fatal, and that Kawai would live.

  Kawai opened her eyes.  "N..Nagisa?"

  "Kawai!  I'm so sorry!"

  "Sorry for what?"

  "It's just...I had a dream about this...this battle..."

  Kawai was looking at Nagisa intently.  "You too?"

  "What?!?"  Nagisa was shocked.  "You mean you've had the same dream?"

  Kawai nodded.  "You were the one hit, and then you said something...I
could never figure out what..."

Haruka [Kawai voice]: ...we're doing having long conversations like this
when we're in the middle of a battle with Chaos.

  "Well, " Nagisa said, "In my version, you were the one who was trying to
say something."
  
  "What does it mean?" Kawai asked, concern on her face.

  "Hold on a sec," Nagisa said. "You rest, I'll..." she looked up at
Chaos, her gaze narrowing.  "...take out the trash."

Andrew: After which she remembered that the garbage truck had already gone past.
Haruka: WORLD SHAKING!!!
Michiru: DEEP SUBMERGING!!!

  With that, she put Kawai down carefully, and then took off for Chaos.

  "Chaos, you're finished!!" Nagisa tried to punch Chaos, but he grabbed
her wrist and flung her away.  Nagisa managed to reverse the throw and
attempted to ram his head with her elbow, but she crashed against the force
field from earlier.  

  Laughing, Chaos blasted her with a shockwave, sending Nagisa flying to
crash several feet away.  "You humans are no match against my android army.
It is our destiny to lead the races that populate this polluted universe
to the destruction they deserve.  

Andrew: [Chaos voice]: GOOOOO PLANET!!!!
Michiru: You can take this one. (wink)
Haruka: Sure. SPACE... SWORD... SHOOTER!!!!

As I will now destroy you."  With that,
two spheres as large as Nagisa appeared to either side of her.  "Shine."
(Die)

  The two spheres began flashing energy charges between them, shocking
Nagisa.  

  Nagisa screams were the only thing heard in that desolate dimension.

  "Beam Boomerang!!!" 

  The spheres were destroyed by two energy boomerangs, which then arced
back around to strike Chaos before they returned to Kawai.

  Chaos cursed and teleported out of range of the boomerangs, leaving
Kawai to free to run to Nagisa, who had collapsed from her injuries.

  "Nagisa?" Kawai said, tears forming in her eyes, "are you all right?"

  "Yes, Kawai." Nagisa replied, grabbing Kawai's hand in her own.  "I'm
all right.  Thanks for the save."

  "Well, I couldn't leave you to be killed by that monster..." 

Michiru: Ah, the subtext is becoming more pronounced. (turns to haruka)
Think they get my drift?

  Kawai then made a decision in that instant, a decision that summed up
her turbulent feelings for the past few weeks concerning her and Nagisa...

  "...I couldn't let you die...because I think I love you."

  Nagisa's eyes widened. <She...she loves me?>

Michiru: Ah... Isn't that sweet?
Haruka: Not as sweet as you...

  Aloud, she said "What?"

  Before Kawai could get the courage to say it again, a maniacal laugh was
heard.  Then one word was spoken.

  "Shine."

  A huge energy beam lanced out of the sky towards Nagisa and Kawai.  

  Kawai shoved Nagisa out of the path of the beam.

  The beam struck Kawai full on.  

  (Author's note: Think of Saffir's death in SMR)

  For a full 30 seconds, all that could be heard were Kawai's screams.

Andrew: You really need to make this flow a little more.

  "KAWAI!!!  NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Nagisa screamed.

  The beam cut off, and Kawai collapsed.  Nagisa ran over to her friend
<Friend?  No, much more now.> Nagisa thought.

  <0"I love you."0>

  Reaching Kawai, Nagisa cradled the other Iczelion in her arms.  "Kawai? 
Kawai?  Please don't die...did you really mean it?  What you said?"

  Kawai opened her eyes and looked up at the vision of beauty before her. 
Even though she was covered with cuts and burns, Nagisa still looked
beautiful to Kawai.

Andrew: Change this part too.  It's a little repetitive.

  "Yes, I did mean it, Nagisa...I love you."  She reached a hand up to
caress Nagisa's face, nevermind the pain moving caused her.

  For her part, Nagisa looked stunned as the truth of Kawai's statement
rolled over her.  She thought of her torn and mixed feelings over the past
few weeks and then, the pure and simple truth shone in her heart.  

  Nagisa looked down at the vision of beauty that had haunted and
perplexed her with the feelings it aroused, 

Haruka: And we know all about arousing feelings, don't we, Michiru?
Yuna: WOULD YOU CUT THAT OUT?

and at that moment, made a decision.

  Eyes shining with tears, Nagisa took Kawai's hand in her own and looked
down at her.

  "I love you too, Kawai."

  Then Nagisa leaned down and kissed Kawai.

  For both of them, it was the sweetest thing they had ever felt.  In that
instant, their feelings for each other were crystallized, and they let
those feeling in that kiss, letting the other know exactly how they felt.

Michiru: As *we* would know...
Andrew/Yuna: [sweatdrop]

  In the heart and soul of Nagisa Kai, the Normal Type Iczelion, a new
power began building up, waiting to be released.

  Unknown to the both of them, Nagisa started glowing.

  Then Kawai's arm went limp, and she fell unconscious.

  "Kawai?  Please don't leave me...not now..."

  "Pathetic humans, your emotions make you weak.  No wonder you must be
destroyed."

Haruka: Don't these villains ever learn?

  Nagisa-still glowing-looked up at the floating Chaos with a look of pure
rage in her eyes.

  <Kawai...this is for you...love.> She thought.

  "Chaos, what you think is a weakness in humans in actuality is one of
our greatest strengths.  It is what makes humans unique in this
universe...and for daring to come between such emotion...I will never
forgive you!!!"

Michiru: Possessed by Usagi-chan, maybe?
Andrew: Nah, if she was, she'd be running away every time... wait a minute!

  Chaos laughed.  "Brave words, Nagisa Kai...but the dead cannot forgive
the living...and I am not the one who will die!!!"  With that, Chaos
released an energy bolt similar to the one that had injured Kawai.  The
bolt traveled downward towards Nagisa, who simply stood there, still
glowing ever more brightly.

  The bolt struck, and was deflected around Nagisa.

  "WHAT??" Chaos said, dumbfounded by the failure of his attack.

  Nagisa still stood, untouched by the beam, while the ground around her
was destroyed by the attack.  Kawai's body was behind Nagisa, so she was
safe.

  "Chaos...I will never forgive you." Nagisa said.  The glow around her
started crackling with energy discharges, and started glowing brighter.

Andreww: Oh, she's not gonna go SSJ is she?

  Nagisa threw her arms out to her sides.  "CRISIS CHARGE!!!!"

  The glow exploded into a column of white light that stretched out to the
heavens.  

  When the glow faded, Chaos gasped in shock.

  A female figure stood there, clad in full armor, with wide shoulder
pauldrons giving the effect of dual swords.  Two thruster pods were mounted
on the back, while the entire affair was colored a metallic red and silver.
There were also six wings-three on each side-giving off a faint light.

  Nagisa Kai, Normal Type Iczelion had become the Iczelion Plus.

Andrew: Okay, so it's not SSJ.
Yuna: Hey, didn't Brian say she'd done this the first time she fought Chaos?

  From the open helmet of the armor, Nagisa looked at Chaos.

  "Because forgiveness, for one such as you, could never be an option!" 

  Then the faceplate closed, and the Iczelion Plus leapt at Chaos.

  Chaos threw a punch, which the Iczelion Plus caught, and then the
Iczelion punched Chaos in the stomach.  Chaos retaliated with a kick to the
head, which separated the two.  

  Chaos fired another shockwave at the Iczelion, which had no effect on
the armored warrior.

  Chaos then gathered more energy that he had ever before.

  The Iczelion Plus's wings glowed more fiercely, and energy started to
gather in the cupped hands of the Iczelion.

Andrew: Argh.  Too much repitition, and it needs to flow more.  You really
need to rework this part.

  Inside the armor, Nagisa's thought of only one thing before Chaos fired.

  <Kawai, I love you.>

  "It ends now, Iczelion!!  SHINE!!!!!" Chaos fired the enormous beam at
the Iczelion Plus.

  Nagisa said, "Nova...

  The glow of the Iczelion's wings reached a peak, and the energy gathered
in its hands glowed brighter than the sun...

  "...BEAM!!!!!!!!"

  The Iczelion Plus fired its blast at Chaos's blast.  The two energy
beams met in the center and...

  Chaos was sure that the Iczelion would be destroyed.  Imagine his
surprise then when the Iczelion's Nova Beam came stabbing at him, and the
smoke cleared so he could see that the Iczelion Plus was unharmed.  In
fact, Chaos was sure that he could see a faint glowing figure superimposed
over the Iczelion Plus...a figure with wild blond hair...

  "The spirit...of an Iczer?!?"  That was the last thing Chaos would ever
say as the Nova Beam rent his form to atoms.

Andrew: Funny... I was actually thinking of doing something similar as part
of Lightsphere.  That okay with you?

  The explosion engulfed the whole area, including the Iczelion Plus.

  Then silence...broken only by a simple thought, which can lead to so
much....

  <Kawai, I love you...>

  Author's Notes:

  Oh my God(dess)!  That was draining to write!

  I usually can't start writing battle scenes right away.  But when I get
started, they just seem to take on a life of their own.  Kinda like pro
wrestling, in a way.  Ironic, ne?

  Yes, there was a considerable Sailor Moon influence in this part, how
could you guess?  <grin>

Andrew: Oh, there were subtle ways of telling.

  I was also influenced by the final battle between Achika and Kain in
Tenchi Muyo In Love!, and both "forgiveness" lines are taken from there. 
(I found out this little tidbit while playing around with my DVD player and
TMiL disc.)

  For the Iczelion Plus, think of a fusion between Nagisa's normal armor,
Iczer-Robo, and Tekkaman Blastor.

  Spirit of an Iczer??  Sorry, you'll have to wait till next part.  (Of
course there'll be a next part, are you kidding?)

Andrew: I have my theories...

  Iczelion was created by Hirano Toshihiro/KSS Films and is brought over
the North America by AD Vision (Great bunch of people, even the Eva dub!),
and this story is copyright by me alone and is for entertainment purposes
only.  Plus, I'm also a college student, so I'm perpetually broke.

Andrew:  Good chapter, Brian, although some parts need work.  The next
chapter of Lightsphere should be out soon, so remember to MST that for me :-D
