I've got a couple of questions about Jo-Jo's Bizarre Adventure (yep, it's
for an upcoming fic). From what little information I've mananged to gather,
it seems stand users' stands are referred to through the tarot and each one
appears to be linked to one of the four standard elements (Star Platinum
-Air, Emerald Splash -water, not sure about Vanilla Ice though, etc.) 

The questions I have are:

1) How does one acquire a stand? Are they born with the ability, is it
transfered to them somehow, or something else?

2) What are the stands made of? Some, like Iggy's, were composed of their
respective element, but what about one's like Jo-Jo's, Dio's, Polenareff's,
etc?
