Ryoga: The ultimate breaking point.

This story takes place well after the conclusion of Ranma 1/2. It is set
in the year 2009. In my version of the near future not much has changed.
Don't expect to see any futuristic gadgets or any of that crap. I also
placed the end of Ranma 1\2 around 1985. Dont bug me about it I just did
that as a basis for the dates. I dont care when it started or ended in
Japan. Oh yea. I dont own the Characters. Takahashi does. Please dont
sue my poor little fan heart. [Really big and shiny eye trick.]

PROLOGE:

In the forest of Central Africa a lone man stood on a cliff
overlooking the great jungle. He had a black and yellow bandanna across
his brow and a large traveling pack with a bamboo umbrella tied across
the top. Beside him a woman dressed in similar attire stands, she looks
vaguely Chinese and has a curved sword at her side. Her bandanna is tied
at the base of her long dark blue hair, she is in her late thirties and
had a weary look about her. They looked into the jungle together with a
hard determined stare that did not waver. "After two years I have finally
arrived. The end of my journey is at hand." the man said to his
companion.
"I have returned home at last." said the woman as she looks
longingly at the temple that rises gracefuly from the forest below. With
that the pair walks towards the Amazon village. Unknown to them a shadow
follows, on its back a similar pack sits and it waits in the shadows with
a feral gaze. He will not be stopped this day, not when the end is so
close. But this is not the beginning of the tale. No, this story starts
almost two thousand years ago...

	Central Africa, 9 A.D...

A young woman in crude Chinese robes ran through the jungle and
jumped from branch to branch. Her clothes were worn and tattered and she
had a feral look in her eyes. She stopped and looked around the forest.
Another figure stepped from the shadows and stood before her. "Sister."
growled the young woman as she recognized the form before her.
"Stop, Xiopu!" cried the figure as she stood before her.
"You will not stop me! I will destroy this place, only the purity
of oblivion can save this world, Ku lon." said Xiopu as she stalked
towards her sister with her knife drawn. Behind Ku lon she could see it,
it was no bigger than the head of a pin but to her it glowed with an
unnatural brilliance, to her it was brighter than the sun. It seemed to
call to her and beg for release. "I will free you!" screamed the woman
and she charged.
Ku lon was unprepared and was knocked to the ground, she managed
to pull Xiopu down with her and she rolled on top of her.
Xipou screamed and struggled to free her hand from the iron grip
of her sister. "You won't stop me! No one can!" she screamed as she
stabbed Ku lon in the leg with her knife and struggled free of her grip.
Ku lon screamed and Xiopu pulled the knife out and stood facing her
sister.
Ku lon stood on her good leg and punched Xiopu in the face and
sent her crashing into a tree. The crazed girl stood from the blow and
shook it off. She screamed in rage and charged at Ku lon with the knife
held forward. Ku lon side stepped and nearly collapsed as she placed her
weight on her wounded leg. She grabbed Xiopu's wrist and slung her arm
over her shoulder, she threw her weight back and broke it. The knife fell
to the ground and Xiopu screamed in anger. She spun and elbowed Ku lon in
the face and sent her to the ground. She kicked her sister viciously in
the gut and then grabbed her good leg. She lifted it up and twisted it,
with a hard well placed kick she broke it easily. Ku lon screamed and
browned out as the pain threatened to take her consciousness away from
her.
Xiopu snorted in disgust and stalked towards the glowing spot on
the ground. It was so bright it blinded her. She covered her eyes and
smiled as it called to her. She felt a small pain in her back as she
reached for the spot. She fell forward and reached out for her goal, but
found herself unable to move. The world faded out and she died with a
smile on her lips.

Ku lon looked up as her sister walked towards the breaking point
with tears in her eyes. Partially from pain, partially from emotion and
partially from fear of death. She had failed, there was no way she could
reach her in time to stop her. She lay her head down and sobbed. Then she
felt something cold press against her forehead. She had landed on the
knife. She reached for it and lifted the blade into the air. Her legs
screamed in pain and her heart broke as she reared back and tossed it. It
landed in Xiopu's back and Ku lon screamed in anguish as her sister fell
to the ground and died, she never stopped reaching for the breaking point
that was only a foot away. Xiopu's long locks of hair fell gently to the
ground around her seemingly in slow motion.

A single hair brushed the breaking point.

Ku lon looked on in horror as the earth split and swallowed Xiopu
up merely a few feet away from the breaking point. The crack raced
towards her and she cried out in fear as it neared her and swallowed her
up into the depths of the earth as well. The crack split the ground for
almost three miles swallowing up anything in its path and sending it
plummeting into the depths of the earths core.

A group of women ran into the clearing and stopped. They watched
in horror as flames errupted from the long crack in the earth, lava
flowed through the opening in the earth and sealed it away in a matter of
moments. The group stood and watched silently. They had been to late.
They had not been able to help Ku lon, A saddened look crossed their
faces as they looked to see that the breaking point was intact. She had
died honorably and completed her task. Xiopu had failed the earth was
safe. Only one hour later, a lone messenger was sent back to China to
inform the village. The rest would stay behind and guard the secret that
would keep their home village safe from some of the most ruthless
governments in history.

At that same moment in the middle of the pacific ocean, the
island chain known as Hawaii formed.

	1,984 years later...

Thitry six year old Ryoga Hibiki looked at the simple grave stone
before him and smiled. "I took a new student today. His name is Jun, I'm
sure you'd like him. He's a good kid, maybe he can learn from some of my
mistakes. He doesn't have a family, so no one will miss him while I train
him. Maybe he could take over the school someday." he said to it.
He had spent much of his time here over the last six years since
his wife died. Hibiki Akari had come down suddenly with a rare illness.
It had prevented her from having children. Ryoga had not taken her loss
well and went into seclusion for almost two years, he only left home to
visit her grave. It was strange that he could find it so easily. It was
the only place on earth he could get to without getting lost. He had sold
the farm many years ago and left Akari's prize pig in Akane's care. He
still saw the Saotome family from time to time but he tried to avoid
imposing on them. He had his own life to lead, he couldn't bear being a
foil for Ranma for the rest of his life. He had to move on.
"Good bye Akari-chan." said Ryoga as he walked away. He turned
towards the sun and began the long and hard trek home. [Three blocks.]
