Ranma 1/2 / Ah Megama-sama : A Wish Chapter One

* * * * *

      *Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.*  Skuld, Goddess of the Future, had forgotten
to eat anything since last night.  Working on a new project, Skuld had lost
all track of time and now she was paying for it.  "Ice Cream!  I need Ice
Cream!"  she moaned.  It was late night and there were not that many people
around.  Suddenly she felt a presence that made the hair on her whole body
tingle.  *Oh no! A demon is nearby.*  There was no hot water and she was too
weak to face the demon head on.  *Have to find hot water.*  A hand decended
and soon closed around Skuld's neck

      "What have we here?"  the demon laughed.  "If I had known that all
Goddess were this weak I would have destroyed your kind centuries ago.  "You
can stop trying to call for help, I've neutralized your powers.  Shame that
you are too weak to break the barrier, Ne?

      Skuld was struggling to breathe.  She had tried to cast a spell but had
failed.  She couldn't even call her sisters for help.

       "Why don't you stop picking on helpless little girl and face someone
who can defend themself?" a voice called out. 

      Behind the demon, Skuld could see that the voice belonged to a boy
around her age.  He was wearing a red shirt and black pants.  Though she was
grateful for his help, she didn't want anyone else hurt in this exchanged.

      "Leave now mortal or face the power of a demon," Nox exclaimed.
 
      "Demon?  You call yourself a demon?  I know for a fact that you are not
a demon.  Someone as weak as you can't be a demon." Ranma taunted.
 
      "What did you say?" Nox snarled.
 
       "Not only are you weak, you're deaf as well.  That only proves that
you are ..."

      Nox couldn't believe his ears.  A mortal was degrading him in his finest
moment of glory.  Looking at Skuld, "I'll take care of you later."  Casting a
spell around Skuld so that she couldn't escape, he tossed her aside.  "Now
you are going to pay mortal.  I'll rip out that loose tougue of yours."

      "I can't believe how stupid your kind are."  Ranma started to circle the
creature.  "I mean trying to scare me with that stupid evil arua of yours."

      Not caring at this point, Nox charged Ranma.  Everytime he tried to claw
Ranma, he would miss.  Casting a spell didn't help either becasue the stupid
brat would dodge it.  "Stand still damn you!"

     "You mean like this?" Ranma asked as he completed the spiral.  Punching
the air in front of the so called demon, he shouted out, "Hiryu Shoten Ha!!"
After shouting out the name of his most powerful move, Ranma fell to his
knees. 

       Nox felt it at the last instant.  Something was draining his power but
before he could do anything, the kid he was facing had punched the air in
front of him.  * Stupid kid, he missssssssssssssssss*  The force of Ranma's
special technique soon collected around Nox and launched him into the air.  

      Struggling to his knees, Ranma focused all his ki into an energy ball in
front of him and launched it at the falling victim of his last move, "Moko
Takabisha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

      Nox's eyes widen in fear as he saw the beam of energy approach him.  He
didn't have any power left to create a barrier.  Upon impact, there was a
bright flash of light and the only remains of Nox was his torn leather jacket.

      Skuld was beyond amazed as she felt the barrier around her faltered and
crumbled as the demon was tossed into the sky.  She never knew a mortal could
do half of what she had just witnessed.  She knew for a fact that some of the
gods
would have had a harder time dispatching the demon even though he was only a
class 3.

      Ranma looked down at Skuld.  "Are you alright?" Ranma asked.  Seeing 
the girl he had just saved nod her head, Ranma smiled in relief right before
falling face first into the ground.

      Seeing her savior walking up to her, she smiled.  A moment later, her
smile disappeared as he collapsed in front of her.  Panicking, Skuld rushed
over to him.  Turning him over, tears started to form as she saw the blood
stained ground.  Examining Ranma, she discovered the demon had indeed landed a
single blow.  Across his chest, Skuld could see 3 deep cuts that were caused
by the demon's claw.  Wiping away the tears, she started to look for any other
wounds when she found the thermo Ranma was carrying.  Dumping its content onto
the ground, Skuld dragged her savior to the puddle and transported them both
to the temple.
