'I take the aged, blackened book from the shelf and examine it. It 
smells of the twenty years of cigarette ashes that have fallen in this 
room, old and decaying. The cover is a thin piece of cardboard reading, 
"Quality Commercial Technicolor," nothing to do with the manga inside. 
And now, it has become a relic of the past, unremembered by even its 
author. The world shall see it again . . . I promise it.'

Hi, folks! Chad Yang here to tell you about a new series Nanashimanga's 
coming out with. For all you self-proclaimed otakus out there, here's a 
chance to test your otakuness. We're releasing a series of short 
darkfics, completely unoriginal in everything but the words they're 
written in. All elements of the mangas they're based on (one per fic, no 
x-overs) belong to their respective authors (I'm only doing the 
disclaimer this one time; if you don't see it later on, don't flare me 
about the moralities of fanfic writing). The titles of the mangas will 
not be mentioned until the next testfic. If you get it right, here's the 
prize: another thing to brag about to your friends. 

Testfics will only be released once. They will not be archived anywhere, 
so if you want to see one again, keep it. We don't have extras. Because 
of the way it is, C&C's for testfics will not be accepted. These are 
ons-shots; if you want to see a rewrite, do it yourself.
