	In Australia, when the V sign is given backwards (that is, the
back of the hand is towards the recipient), that's when it means f*** you.
Churchill was giving the straight-out victory symbol.

You must not ignore the fact that this is also a common vulgur movement
in England as well...I've seen several references to it in many British
Comedies.

I've heard tale of George Bush going to England and doing it, thinking
he was giving the peace sign when in actuality, flippin' 'em off.  I'm
pretty sure it's a rumour, however.


	In Japan, also, it's never read as the "peace" sign. Just good ol'
victory.

Not sure about this, but probably true.  The movements of the 60s are
commonplace for this symbol...if used today, it's more of a mocking
of the hippies movement.

Or, you could really mean it, but why not use music instead?  It's the
Universal
Language.
