About 10 years ago, or more, I've watched this Anime at a local
network channel here(Phillippines) at that time Macross and Astroboy
was in its hype. 

Anyway this Anime movie at i watched is good. Like Warrior's of the
Wind and The Last Unicorn. 

The problem is that I dont know the title of the anime. The only thing
i remember is that it was a war film. A war between two empires set in
a somewhat Warrior of the Wind(or Nusicaa of the Valley of the Wind if
you would prefer) genre. And the prince and princess of the empires
are in love with each other. But since both empire are at war, they
hid their love to both their families. Kinda like Romeo and Juliet.
The lovers would always meet at this forest. The story moves on...
yadayadayada both are force to choose sides in the war... the people
cry s out for peace... and in the end the princess killed her
lover(the prince) inside the forest(i think it was call the Phantom
Forest?) to stop the war since her empire was losing.The ending scene
was that the princess pointing her gun to the prince. The prince was
surprised but realized that this is the only way. the princess kills
the prince and then kills herself with the same gun. Their blood mixed
together(that was i remembered it) and flowed into the river(inside
the forest) and the war stopped since the whole river has turned to
red(from the blood of the lover). The story was narrated by an old
man, who also was in the story. He joined the war and left his
wife?(or girlfriend) at the farm. when the war was over he found out
that the girl's dead. Apparently he was talking to the ghost of his GF
and at dawn he saw her soul disappear. The narrator then rode his
hoverbike and destroys the dam of the other empire(it was very
confusing and i was just 9 years old for crying out loud) and the
story end with the narrator walking with the children as they left a
really ancient looking oak tree.

Now the FFML, as well all know, has a lot of member so if anyone will
read this please tell me if you know the title of the Anime. Or some
that can help me. It was a long time ago but still somewhere out there
in the net someone knows the anime and the FFML is the only place i
know that can point me to the right direction.
