		Dragon's Eye View
		Chapter 2
		Shadow Dancer, AKA Smiling Kitty

Sighing immensely, I sit back in my car, hoping that Bunny
would be on time for once in her life.
	No such luck.
Turning off the engine, I get out and start walking into the
mighty cavern entrance that is Bunny's place.
For the first time ever, upon entering the huge,
stalactite-ridden cavern, I come face-to-face to Bunny's mother.
Huge fange, green scales, red eyes, and gleaming teeth are what I
stare into as her mouth says, "And who might YOU be?" in a
haughty, overbearing voice.
"Bunny's friend..." I squeak out, just barely managing to
comntain my fear from the idea that another dragon wants to EAT
me.
"Funny," Bunny's mom muses, turning slightly to the side and
scratching her jaw with one lightly scales claw, "I'd almost
SWEAR," she turns back to me, "that you look like lunch! As a
matter of fact, I think I'm right!" She breathes in mightily, as
if to breathe something dangerous at me.
Turning around and running for the door, I scream, "BUNNY!!!
HELP!!!!!!!!" Maybe they heard me at the earthquake center in
New York...probably. A muffled shout and bang comes from behind
me, as I manage to run around a rock in time to look back to see
Bunny running out.
Bunny rushes around the corner, shouting, "Mom! Would you
quit doing that? No wonder none of my friends like visiting!"
Normally, a bunny trying to look angry would look hilarious, and
Bunny is no exception to the rule.	But cute, kind-hearted Bunny
manages to look, in her own cute and cuddly way, as intimidating
as a lion would to a rabbit caught away from it's hole. I don't
know who to be more afraid of now, Bunny's mother, or Bunny
herself.
Bunny's mother shies back a bit, saying quietly, her voice
quivering, "Yes dear, I'll behave..." With that, she turns to
the back of the cave and runs, her tail between her legs.
The moment she turns the corner, I collapse to the floor
silently. Well, almost silently, "No wonder you're the
commissioner..." I mutter quietly.
Minutes, although it felt like hours, later, I finally feel
like myself again, at least, enough like my old self so that I
can follow Bunny into her room to see what she was up to.

I walk into Bunny's room..looking around. The room has changed
drastically since I was last here. Computers, computer parts, and what
looks like high-tech vehicle parts of some kind line the walls and the
floor...and are even piled in little wall-sections in the room.
I look over at Bunny, who's sitting at her computer terminal...as
usual. "Hi, dear...I'm almost finished writing this one little bit...I'm
almost done..." She calls, furiously tapping at the computer
keyboard...or..what looks like one.
Bunny's hands are flying over a semi-transparent, floating,
noisless keyboard that glows whenever she hits a key. I boggle a little at
that as I came closer to her...then I notice the computer itself. It, too,
is partially transparent...looking to my eyes like a real hologram. I
watch in silence as Bunny types out a few last keystrokes...all I see in
that window before she closes it is:

	To: Magic Knight Kiyone <jdlowry@unity.ncsu.edu>
	From: CyberBunny <Cbunny@cybergal.com>
Subject: Re: Magic Knight Ranma Part IV (C&C)

The window closes before I can get any farther. I look over at the
list of...mail? before me. The screen shows hundreds of files...hundreds
might even be falling short...it seems as though _thousands_ of messages
pass through this computer every day. It's a wonder how Bunny manages to
get through it all. I sit wonderingly in the chair that Bunny
vacated...somehow...without my notice.
I look at the mails...here's a window with all sorts of things by
this one person...Magic Knight Kiyone...I touch the holographic screen with
my finger, on the window with all that. Suddenly the window dissappears
from the screen. I stare at the screen, then look around for Bunny. I
then notice, off to the side of the original screen, another screen with
the window that I had touched appearing in the entire thing. I'm still
looking at it when I hear Bunny calling.
"Hey, Cat, dear...I've got a little anniversary surprise for
you..." Bunny calls me. I turn around from the wonder of the screen, and
then something small and furry attaches itself to my chest.
A burst of giggling fron Bunny's direction as I look at the tiny
thing attached to my chest. "Like her? She's a genuine StarKitten...I
bought her from a friend not too long ago." Bunny's reply seems honest
enough.
The little thing attached to my chest looks up at me with liquid
gold eyes and mews at me. Her fur is a green-brown color, and she is
barely three inches body length long, with a three inch tail. What caugt
my attention right away was her tiny dragon-like wings...her wingspan was
easily ten inches. The wings are also in that green-brown color, and her
entire appearance is almost unbearably cute.
I continue gaze at the little kitten until Bunny's comment
registers. I look up, "Star...kitten?" I ask in a shaking voice. Bunny
nods to my question. "Where did she come from?" I feel, faintly,
something brushing against my mind, but I'm concentrating on more important
things right now.
Bunny looks at me straight in the eye, "I got her from one of my
friends. Didn't your mother ever tell you...err...I guess she proabably
did at one point. Well, to make a long story short, I've been talking to
people in outer space...aliens humans call them. One of the people from
out there gave her to me after I did something important for him. I kept
her in suspended animation until I decided at one point to give her to you."
I stare at Bunny blankly, then ask, hesitantly, "Aliens? Where is
she from? And...is that her playing with my mind?"
Bunny looks at me for a few seconds, then bursts out giggling
again, "I guess she likes you, then...she's trying to bond with you...form
a psychic link. She'll be able to talk to you that way. It's her form of
trying to understand us and make herself understood."
I stare at Bunny, then look down at the little kitten-like thing.
I run one finger, hesitantly, over her back. I hear her purring with my
normal ears, and faintly, in the back of my mind, I can feel a faint
pleasurable sensation...almost as if someone were stroking my back at the
same time. A small smile creeps over my lips as I continue to pet the
adorable creature.
Bunny continues talking, her voice barely registering to my ears,
"She will be able to talk to you no matter where you are, if you let the
bond take place. Her little form of telepathy can reach for more than the
length from here to the solar system of the star that we call Alpha
Centauri. It's also faster than light, as well. A few of the little
cuties can also teleport themselves for very short distances, maybe one
hundred meters if they're lucky. Most of them won't live for very long,
compared to us...but this one is supposedly able to live for as long as we
can."
As Bunny talks I continue to pet the little kitten, and feel her
pleasure at the petting. After Bunny finishes talking, she watches me and
the kitten for a bit, until almost at the same time, I, and the kitten get
hungry. Bunny starts up again when she hears my tummy growling at me,
"She can eat most foods that we can eat. She's an omnivore , so she can
eat fruits and maybe a couple vegitables, as well. If she doesn't like
what you're giving her, she'll tell you. And the bond is probably working,
seeing that you're so entranced with her."
My view of the kitten is blocked by something that doesn't quite
register at first, then I see a single, steaming, slice of Panagopolous
taco-style pizza. I stare at the pizza slice for a second, before I grab
at it with one hand, tear of a couple little chunks with meat and cheese
for the kitten, then start biting into the delicious confection.
After we've finished the slice, I feel a small thought enter my
mind, "Can't go calling me the kitten all the time, you know..." I look
around, wondering who put the thought in my mind, then I look down at the
little kitten, and she stares back at me, waiting...
"Bunny, honey...what should I call her?" I look at Bunny, seeing
if she can help me.
Bunny raises her hands to me, "I can't help you, hon...she's yours
to name...and yours to love, as well." She smiles at me, faintly, "Maybe
she can...no..." Bunny looks down at the ground, blushing faintly.
"She can what?" I ask, curious. The kitten crawls around on my
blouse a little as I listen to Bunny.
Bunny looks up slightly, "I can't say...it's not for me...or for
her to tell you." Her blush rages for a little while longer,
"Please...forgive me for even bringing it up."
I look down at the tiny kitten again...then notice that she's
missing from my blouse. I look around, frantically, for her, then I feel
warmth and love in the back of my mind, and I then notice that I can stil
feel her. I look at my blouse a little closer, then I notice a faint
buldge wandering around under the thin material. It seems to be
angling...upwards. I blush as I try to fish the tiny kitten out of my
clothing before she got into certain territory. The kitten smiles up at me
as I pull her out, and she licks my fingers as I watch her.
"What should I name you?" I ask, whispering. Thoughts run through
my head, about how small she is...and how she looks like a tiny dragon in a
cat's clothing. A small word forms in my mind...<Dracat> as I look at her.
"Did you come up with that?" I ask quietly. The kitten smiles and shakes
her head to my question. "Would you mind that for a name?" I ask again,
barely whispering. She nods, her little head bobbing up and down
furiously. I giggle at the sight, then look at Bunny.
"We've agreed to call her...Dracat. How do you like it, Bunny?" I
ask Bunny. I pet Dracat gently, her little form resting in my palm.
Bunny smiles at me, then advances a little, "It's a wonderful name,
Cat. I'm glad I saved her for you. Are you happy with her?" Her smile
wanes a little at her question, as if she were remembering something sad.
I nod and smile, looking back down at Dracat. I lift her up to my
shoulder, where she jumps off of my hand and then curls up in the little
collar between my blouse and my neck. I tuen to Bunny, asking, "What's
wrong?"
Bunny sighs and shakes her head, "Nothing...nothing that you'd know
of. Just remembering my first...pet. It's nothing. Didn't we have a
date for going to the mall today? Let's go!" Bunny pulls me out of her
room, racing down to my car. I shake my head silently at her evasion, but
follow to the car, getting happier still at the prospect at buying more
things...for me and my newest friend.
