3: No one has addressed the other issue I brought up. Since other than
the comment's about my placement of the credits, which will now be at
the top, no other complaints or comments have been brought up, I'll take
this to mean that non-anime storylines are accepted as well.
The FFML is a busy list - lots of things get overlooked. I am surprised
that noone else has responded, but I might as well.
The FFML is unfortunately named - it should be called the Anime FFML, or
the Anime & Manga FFML. However, the FAQ and all introductory information
makes it clear that the list is for fanfiction grounded in anime and manga.
If you're not subscribed, I'd recommend researching the Web page:
http://illusion.snu.ac.kr/~wacko/ffml/
And if you are subscribed, I'd suggest reading all that information
(including the FAQ) that's automatically sent to new accounts.
The story itself did look somewhat interesting, though I'm a little
confused about where it fit in with the F451 storyline. It's been a while
since I read the book, though, and this isn't the place to discuss it,
anyway.
Poke around on the net for a bit, and you're bound to find a list that
would accommodate your story. Or schlepp down to your local quality comics
shop, buy some translated manga, and pop back onto the list with a different
story. If you're looking for good near-future sci-fi kinda stuff, I'd
recommend Appleseed or Ghost in the Shell. There's a significant shortage of
stories based on these series, and I know of at least one person who'd love
to read and critique some (namely me).
