1. For submission of large fics, does RAAC prefer the whole monster at
once (1.7 megs) or by piece/chapter?
I suggest for such a monster size fic that it be done
by chapter and spread out over few days. When a fic is submitted to RAAC either via USENET or emailing to
rec-arts-anime-creative@cs.ubc.ca a first time author
is assigned a moderator by a software bot. The moderator assigned then passes on fic to USENET.
Also, the head RAAC moderator as well as a couple of
the asst. moderators are going ot AX98. So don't get
discouraged if the fic doesn't appear in RAAC for
a while. If the delay takes more than a couple of
weeks (depends on how long you want to wait) you
can email the head moderator (Brian Edmonds) at
raac-coordinator@cs.ubc.ca
If your're or newsgroup software emailer refuses to
place an entire chapter in one piece you can submit
it as seperate peices and ask the moderator to
put it back together.
2. Which encryption fornat do they prefer (UUEncode, Mime, etc.)
Nada, none. The RAAC FAQ states the _ALL_ fics are to
be submitted as _plain text only_ and all artwork are
to submitted as UUEncoded. Though some moderators on receiving such posts do decode any encoded posts.
Thanks much.
