I think Ranma's attitude is more like "You can't beat up my father. Only
I can beat him up."
Ranma is still the loyal son at this point in time. The fact that Genma
is also cursed because of his lack of sense ameliorates Ranma's anger or
frustration. However, as Ranma learns more about Genma's actions and their
consequences - the betrayal of Ukyou. the oath to Nodoka, the secret of
Ranma's engagement to a Tendo, not to mention the Nekoken training, the
less respect he will have for his father.
