Part 2: Tsuki the Guardian of Love!
Tsuki screamed, her cat had just started talking to her. She
scrambled to a corner and stared at the animal wide eyed. It jumped off
her bed and stalked towards her. "Calm down Tsuki dear. You'll wake
everybody up!" chided the animal.
"Sasha?! You can talk?!" said Tsuki dumbly.
"That she can. I was wondering when you'd start up again you old
windbag." said an aged voice from the doorway.
"Grandma?" said Tsuki as she stared at the woman in disbelief.
She was a short lively old woman of one hundred years old. She gave the
cat a smile and sat down next to her Grand daughter.
"Really Hana, this isn't the time for a reunion." said Sasha
coolly.
"Oh what is it? A Youma?" cackled the old woman. "I could handle
one of those even now." snorted the old woman.
"But this will be Tsuki's first battle, she isn't ready for this
yet!" cried the cat.
"Neither was I, and what's with this reunion crap? We've been
living in the same home for Ninety years." said the elderly woman.
"What's going on?" whimpered Tsuki.
"Quiet dear Grandma is having an argument." said the old woman.
"Really Hana, I have to..." said the cat with beads of sweat
forming on her brow.
"You've hardly spoken to me in the past thirty years and you just
start blabbing to my Tsuki-chan all of a sudden? The last time you spoke
to me was when you cussed me out for steppin on your tail last week."
said the grandmother obliviously. She closed her eyes and nodded in
agreement with herself.
"I'm sorry Hana but I..." started the animal. Then Hana started
to snore.
"Really." exclaimed the cat.
"Somebody please tell me what is going on here?" whined Tsuki
pitifully.
"You must go and fight a great evil that has landed in Tokyo.
Don't worry you have the power to fight it." said the cat calmly.
"What?!" cried Tsuki in shock.
"You are the new Star seishin. The power of love and purity are
yours to command." said Sasha proudly.
"Here." said her grandmother snapping awake. She took a small
ring off her finger and handed it to Tsuki casually. "I don't need it any
more, I'm much to old for this." said the old woman.
"You were Star seishin?" asked Tsuki in suprise. The stories of
the group of girls were still told throughout Japan. They defeated an
evil race of beings many years ago.
"Yes my granddaughter. Many years ago I fought along side some of
the greatest women of our generation against a great evil. I am the last
surviving member of the team." said the woman with a far off gaze.
Tsuki looked at the ring and frowned. It was a small simple gold
ring, set in it was a medium sized red stone shaped like a heart. It
looked like something she could get for a quarter at a supermarket
vending machine. Only it was real and probably allot more expensive. "Why
do I get the feeling this is gonna turn me pink?" thought Tsuki with a
frown as she glared at it.
"Kiss the ring and say the words 'Love power transform.'" said
Sasha as she looked on.
"Great now I know I'm gonna turn pink." grumbled Tsuki as she
looked at the ring in slight disgust. She braced herself and pressed her
lips to the stone. "Love power transform." she whispered.
In the streets of Tokyo a man walked out of a small diner and
smiled. He walked over to his small car and placed his key into the door.
He was an average looking man of about thirty years old, he was balding
and developing a gut. On his side a small expensive camera hung. "Man I
feel lucky today." he muttered to himself. Then it hit him, well it hit
his car. The man stared in disbelief at the thing that landed on his car.
The key chain fell from his hand and he gapped at the huge hole in the
street. Sticking halfway out of the hole was a huge monster. It was about
Thirteen feet tall and looked around as it climbed from the ground. It
looked like a were wolf with a beetle's head. It had long black fur that
covered its body and a three foot long horn protruding from its face. It
made a sound that sounded like a sound effect from a Godzilla movie. The
man backed away in terror. He fumbled for his camera and shot as he ran
in terror back into the diner.
It gave him a passing glance and began to shamble forward. It
simply crushed anything in its path as it moved through the city leaving
destruction in its wake.
"What have we learned from the probe?" asked the man on the
throne as he sat in the shadows. "Sir, it has encountered no real
resistance. The military advancements of this planet are minimal. Nuclear
power appears to be its greatest achievement." said one of the men from
the pits.
"Excellent." said the man.
"My lord. The probe may be all that is needed for this world."
said the tall dark-skinned man from the other side of the room as he
watched the monitors. The emperor began to laugh.
"AAAAUUUGGGHHHH!" cried a voice from the Hikari home. Inside was
Tsuki staring at her reflection in disbelief.
"Quiet! Do you want to wake your mother!" cried Sasha
hysterically.
"Please. That girl would sleep through a Typhoon, as a matter of
fact she has. This won't wake her." grunted Hana with a frown.
Tsuki fell to the ground and started bawling. "Waaaahhh! I look
like a ballerina!" she sobbed. She was now dressed in a very short pink
skirt with a lighter pink jumpsuit. On her legs were two pink boots that
went up to her knees. The whole thing was decorated in hearts. The chest
had a hole in it shaped like one and the boots had them along the top.
Her short sleeves had them along the base of them. In her hair a golden
tiera with large heart shaped jewels in it sat across her brow. "Noooo!
God nooooo!' she cried.
"I know its hard Tsuki dear." said her Grandmother with a
comforting smile.
"I'm not going out in public like this!" cried Tsuki as she ran
for the bathroom.
Many miles away Hibiki Yakamashii walked towards Tokyo. "Damn,
this is taking forever." he muttered as he walked off the road and began
to set up his camp. When he was through he sat down and started a fire.
"I can't believe how far this place is. I always thought Japan was
small." he muttered as he cooked his dinner. After a moment he realized
he was not alone. He turned to see a boy a little older that himself
staring at him from the edge of his camp. He had long brown hair that was
tied back in a ponytail and a large traveling pack. On top of the bag was
a suspicious looking bundle. The boy looked at him for a moment and
continued on his way.
"I apologize for the intrusion, I was not paying attention to
where I was going." said the boy as he walked off silently.
"Man that was weird. I didn't think anyone could sneak up on me."
said Hibiki to himself as he watched the flames.
"Strange that I did not feel that boy's presence when I neared
his camp." said the long haired boy as he walked towards the city.
"Come out of there this instant Tsuki!" cried Sasha from the hall
outside the bathroom. Tsuki had been locked away in there for some time
now. She had yet to speak.
"Leave her be Sasha she'll come out on her one in a little
while." said Hana calmly.
"There isn't any time to waste!" cried the cat.
The door opened suddenly and Tsuki strolled out of the bathroom.
Sasha gasped in disbelief. Tsuki was wearing the uniform, but it had
been...altered.
The shirt had been ripped revealing Tsuki's mid drift and she had
on a pair of black leather driving gloves. She tightened the strap on one
of her hands and smiled as she put on her jacket. "Now I'm ready to go."
she said with a smirk.
"Woo hoo! You go girl!" cried her grandmother in approval as she
waved a fan with a red circle on it around.
"You stop encouraging her!" spat the animal at her. "How dare you
rip that uniform!"
"If you want me to wear it I wear it my way." said Tsuki with a
hard gaze.
"Fine but don't come whining to me when you read about it in the
paper tomorrow." said the animal, then she stopped and stared at Tsuki
for a moment. "Who-what is that?" she gasped.
"What?" said Tsuki in suprise.
"That thing on your stomach?" cried the cat.
"Oh, that. What are you my mother? Its a belly button ring you
retard." said Tsuki.
This was too much for the cat and she almost passed out. "Oh, the
image is ruined!" she cried.
"Where is this danger anyway?" said Tsuki looking annoyed.
"Where else? In the city." said Hana to her smugly.
"Well I'd best be off then." said Tsuki.
"You can't go like that! Every one you know will recognize that
jacket!' cried the cat as she ran after her.
"I'm not going without it." said Tsuki warningly.
"If you must wear it we have to alter its appearance." said the
cat as she glared at Tsuki. The girl blinked and looked at her jacket.
"Much better." said the cat with a satisfied smile.
"Augh! Miushi-chan! What have they done to you!" cried the girl
as she took off the now pink bomber that was embroidered with hearts.
"Come on lets get going." said the cat.
Tsuki simply rocked back and forth cradling the jacket in her
arms. "Oh Miushi-chan what have they done to you?!" she sobbed.
"It will change back when you do I promise." comforted Hana as
she hugged the girl.
"Oh for goodness sake. Hello? earth threatening evil?! Ring any
bells?" said the cat as she paced back and forth.
"Oh, quiet you heartless old hag. Can't you see you've wounded
her pride?" snapped Hana at the cat.
"If I get rid of the hearts will she come?" asked Sasha with a
sigh.
Tsuki looked at her with amazingly big and shiny eyes and nodded. "Fine."
said the cat.
Tsuki stood tall almost immediately and frowned. "It's still
pink." she said.
"You have to hide your Identity fool. I promise it will turn
back." said the cat.
"It better." snorted Tsuki as she followed the cat into the yard.
Hana followed.
"Have fun dear. Remember to ham it up, the public loves long
dramatic speeches.
"How are we gonna get there?" asked Tsuki after a moment. "I
can't drive."
"I'll take us." said the cat as a bright light surrounded the
pair.
Hana stood in the yard and began to cry. "Oh I'm so proud. My
grandchild is going off to kick evil monster ass and I'm still here to
see it." she said with a sigh.
In Tokyo Tsuki stood on a roof top and smiled as the creature
tore through the town leaving a wake of terrified citizens and
destruction behind it.
"Who is that?" cried one of the terrified people from the ground
pointing at Tsuki who stood silhouetted by the moon. She stood on a small
building roof that was three stories high.
"Go to it. I'll help when I can." said Sasha from beside her.
"I am Seishin Star, and I've come to kick your ass." said Tsuki
as she pointed at the creature who simply stopped and looked at her. She
jumped to the ground and landed easily in front of it.
"So much for dramatic speeches." said Sasha as she watched from
the roof top. She shook her head in slight disgust and jumped down to the
ground silently.
"Let's go." said Tsuki with a grin as she cracked her knuckles.
