just a scene i wanted to throw out. if i have to do it,
 expect a LONG wait. also two notes on Dragons Destiny.

The two figures eating the prize looked up at the 
 enraged amazon who was still threatening them in 
 some dialect of Mandarin.

"So," Genma asked the Guide, "if this guy defeats her,
 then there won't be a problem, right?"

Shampoo readied herself a moment later, though her eyes
 widened slightly as the outsider male leapt from the
 ground to flip onto the log without causing so much as
 a quiver in the ropes. He was good, very good. She was
 the best in the village, though, but one look at this
 confident smiling figure put a gnawing doubt in her
 heart.

Shampoo attacked full out, bonbori swinging in a hope
 that she could overwhelm this male's defenses before
 he could attack.

The male chambered as if to strike and then simply 
 thrust his fist forward, punching the empty air.

Shampoo felt the wind strike, just the air movement 
 from his punch throwing her thirty feet through the
 air to land on and then through a tiled roof. She
 glanced up as darkness started creeping in on her.
 The male was up at the hole looking down with obvious
 concern at her.

"<Who are you?>" Shampoo managed.

The figure grinned at seeing her okay. "Boku wa Son
 Goku."

if i do this, then Pilaf doesn't wish Goku to be young
 at the beginning of Dragonball GT. He just wishes that
 it wasn't Goku he was facing. Son Goku at THAT point,
 switches with Ranma who's at Jusenkyo for the first 
 time.

 Two questions been sent to me, here's the answers:
1) Neutral Ground and Dragon's Destiny are related 
   miniseries in a story block called "The Bet"- anyone
   with deity avatars or the like is more than welcome
   to do stories in this arc. The deities in question
   are taking timelines that end in disaster and making
   minor changes to see who can come up with the 
   greatest overall degree of change. Neutral Ground
   starts with Genma sending Soun notice of his plans
   before going to Jusenkyo. Dragon's Destiny has a
   breeze blowing another page open so that they go 
   somewhere else before Jusenkyo.
2) "the Dragon's destiny is to fight the Phoenix"-so
   Ranma at the beginning of the story has Herb level
   power and is destined to fight Saffron. Because of
   these and other factors, he's going to draw higher
   power opponents and even more problems.

BTW: if someone wants to be a designated archive, let me know.
   with a modem currently set for 9600, e-mailing a dozen people
   who deleted the story the first time i posted it with copies of 
   said story takes a LONG time.
