Ongoing series are great.  You can do far more in ten chapters than you can
do in one, and you don't have to think of everything at once.

However...

Let's face it, it's difficult for people to jump into a fic fifteen or so
chapters in, and some of us don't have the time to read every fic.  With that 
in mind, I present the recap challenge. (Also, this might be helpful to
anyone who's bogged down with writer's block... I hope)

THE RULES

1. You must write a "recap episode" of one (or more) of your fics, which
informs readers of events which have happened in previous chapters.

2. It is preferable for the recap not to be simply a repetition of the
events which have occurred (that's what the synopsis list is for), but
rather to present the events of previous chapters in an unusual/entertaining
fashion.

3. Of course, make sure you enjoy doing this.  That's the entire reason
people write fanfic anyway :-D
