This is my take on Scream's opening scene using Ranma 1/2's Nabiki.  It is
part of a longer Marmalade Boy fic, but I wanted to get Ranma fans' opinions..

OK, I've never seen "Scream", so these comments are purely from the POV of
a fan of Ranma 1/2...

First, this is _Nabiki_ we're talking about.  Even if someone did manage
to scare her in this way, she would never show it (IE the stuttering and
yelling into the phone).

Secondly, this _is_ Nabiki we're talking about.  She'd likely turn the
tables and start her own psychological warfare on the caller.  Who do you
think is going to win that battle?

Third, _this_ is Nabiki we're talking about.  She lives in the same house
as Ranma and Akane.  Nobody's crazy enough to attack her while she's at
home.  Even if the attacker knows when the four martial artists of the
house are going to be out, he'd see the danger in this situation,
especially with Ranma's timing.

       "AAAAAAAH!!!!"
       There, in font of the carp pond, was Kuno, tied to a chair and gagged,
struggling
to get loose.

O_o  Where can I buy rope like that?  It'd be great for rappeling!  (Maybe
he's tied up with steel chain, not rope?)

Okay, maybe the assailant isn't so worried about the martial artists if
he's good enough to knock out and tie up Kunou.  In that case, it will
take one of the Ranma crew to catch this guy.
