1. This plot (Ranma and Ryouga fight, Ryouga rapes Ranma, Ryouga flees,
   Ranma/Ryouga's kid shows up for revenge) has been done before. A lot.
   In fact, it's been done so often that Nick Liefker parodied it in
   Black Lemonade.

Black Lemonade tore the scene.  I loved that fic.  "And I had this dream
about climbing a mountain or something..."

  2. Despite the fact that it's been done before, the premise is riddled
   with flaws. First: after the first few volumes, Ranma and Ryouga
   Settle down into a friendly rivalry. 

'Friendly?'  Let's not forget that until Ryoga won a series of very
clear-cut, you-can't-deny-them victories against Ranma, he was perfectly
willing to splatter the pigtailed boy's guts all over the rocks. :P

Second: you have Ryouga beat
   Ranma 'fairly' (no new technique, etc) which isn't terribly likely.

It's happened in canonical manga, though - the Golden Pair story.  You can
argue whether or not Ryoga *did* win (though that usually dissolves into a
pointless Ranma-has/doesn't have-honor debate), but he was definitely
trashing Ranma before Akane interfered.

   Third: even assuming Ryouga is scummy enough to rape someone, he's
   repeatedly shown disgust at the thought of intimate contact with
   Ranma, to the point of fleeing screaming in disgust after she kisses
   him. 

Agreed.  A rather large error.  Of course, I've read very few darkfics that
manage to be dark and entirely IC.  In fact, the only one I can think of
off-hand is Bitter End.  And maybe Stepping Stones, if that's considered
'dark.'

Fourth: Ranma would hunt him down himself, not wait seventeen
   years for his kid to grow up. Fifth: Sorry, but I find it hard to
   believe that a 16 year old girl is stronger than a 33 year old Ryouga.

Ditto.

  3. Why does everyone seeking to avenge their father wear a black cloak?
   Is it a fashion statement?

Nah, they're just trying to look like evil sorcerers. ^_^

    The slender girl, Ryako, only gave him a cute, yet somewhat wolfish,
grin.  "Aw, you're no fun, Ryoga," she said, hitting him on the shoulder
playfully.  "Here we are, so close, and you won't let me read what you're
writing?"  She snuggled up against him, smirking to herself.
    Ryoga apparently didn't notice that she was only kidding, because his
face glowed a bright red and he nervously inched away from her.  "C-close?"
 He stammered.  "I...well...you see..."
