OK. Everyone who responded to this didn't see what I mean to be talking
about so it was my mistake for not writing clearly. My apologies to all
who thought I was flaming, I wasn't. I was just trying to make a point
and offer a bit of advice from someone who's read a lot of fanfic.
Odviously this entire thing is IMO. I understand the reason for preludes.
I'm saying, the interesting part of the story is usually, though by no
means always, seeing how he author thinks the normal characters would
react to the change, the premise. But in the case of very short preludes,
at least the ones that I've read, only once has an author even touched
upon this. I understand that authors want to keep most of the story in
reserve, hence the rest of the story and why the prologue isn't eighty
five pages long. But it would be nice to to give the reading audience a
basic idea of what to expect.
