Akane has never shown any real interest in any men other than Dr. Tofu
and (arguably) Ranma. If she really did want all those Furinkan boys
chasing after her, why did she fight with them instead of enjoying their
attentions? And if she didn't want them chasing after her, why use the
drug in the first place?

Why bother?  She's confident that Shampoo won't matter in the long run,
and Kunou would likely screw things up, anyways.
