I'm going to make this short and to the point. Why do you write a prelude
or a 
prologue to a fic? To give the reading audience a idea of what to expect.
To let 
them read little so they can make up their minds about an opinion. Why
then would anyone write a five page prelude and ask for advice and C&C? 
Unless it's suposed to be a short fic, or a fic with short pointless
little chapters, 
why wouldn't you write a full chapter for posting? Quite a few people
have 
done this and I'm curious as to why. Writing only a few K only gives a
very basic 
idea of what the fic is about, usually it defines the diferense between
this fic 
and the original series. People, when you're writing, while knowing the
initial 
premise is nice, it's also very important to see how it affects the
characters. 
Learning Akane is a bisexual alien from brinstar who's here to kidnap
Usagi is
all well and good, but we're interested more in what follows. If the
reading 
audience doesn't like it, they won't like it, and fewer people will like
it if there
isn't enough of it published to let people become interested.

Ok, so maybe that wasn't that short.
