You know... after reading over the second part of this story (and a
whole heap of thanks go out to Lurker, who pointed out just how
awkward a lot of stuff in it was) I realized that it was FAR bellow
even my low, low, low standards.

So here is a corrected (well, less wrong) version of the second
episode of the TRIO: Original Story Adventure.

				  TRIO OSA:
(Special Guest Stars from Oh! My Brother)
			         DEATH GHIDORA
				   Part 2:
				  AWAKENING

Belldandy looked out at the blue sky. If she, her sisters, and
brother, failed, no one on the planet Earth would be alive to view it
ever again. They could not fail.

"I've never seen you spooked like this before," Keiichi said as he
sat down on the porch, next to the Goddess, "It's pretty creepy."

"I appologise," Belldandy replied, absently, "Death Ghidora is a
frightening creature. I have seen him demonstrate his power on far
too many worlds. I don't want it to happen again on this one... the
one you are on, Keiichi-san."

Keiichi blushed as he replied, "It'll be alright. Chris'll probably
be able to keep Urd and Skuld in line long enough to do what they
have to do," Keiichi crossed his fingers behind his back and added,
"and from what you tell me, these champions are particularly powerful.
"

Belldandy smiled sadly and said, "I pray that will be enough."

	In New York....

Usagi and Ranma came out of the movie, discussing its' various
merits and failings.

"I still say," the pigtailed boy said, "that I liked it better when
it was guys in suits. It seemed more... personal, that way."

"Well *I* liked it," Usagi replied, "The way it moved, it was so
wild! I mean, it looked so real. What's the matter? Have you got
something against an American version of Mothra?"

"No. I agree with you... yet, I don't know, this one didn't have
the... personality of the original, you know what I mean?"

Before Usagi could say if she did or not, someone grabbed them from
above, said, "Go limp," and carried them high into the sky.

While Usagi started screaming, Ranma grabbed hold of the arm that
was grabbing the back of his shirt and swung upwards, planting his
feet into their assailent's face. "OW!" Sayaman complained as both
his face and ears began to throb, "I said, 'go limp', not 'go
postal'!"

"Gohan?" Usagi asked, panic attack finished, for the moment.

Great Sayaman looked down, his sun glasses cracked slightly by
Ranma's kick, and said, "Yep. Sorry for not giving you guys any
warning, but we've got trouble."

	"Now what?" the couple groaned.

Sayaman landed on a rooftop about a block away from the movie
theater. After putting his friends down, he landed next to them, and
introduced them to the exotic woman and the large man standing across
from them. "I'll let THEM explain," he said.

Once the God and Goddess had finished telling their story for the
second time, they were met by a more skeptical reaction then they had
been before. "Chosen warriors?" Ranma asked sarcastically, "I think
you two have been watching WAY too much Anime."

Sayaman said, "I've seen Gyaos. At least part of their story is
true."

	"Ummm... guys..." Usagi said.

"Yeah?" Ranma shot back, "And how do we know that they didn't send
that bird?"

	"Guys..."

	"I just... do," Sayaman replied.

	"Oh, THAT helps," Ranma muttered.

	"GUYS!"

The two males turned to face their female companion and they asked,
in stereo, "What?!"

"Haven't you noticed that woman is glowing?" Usagi asked as she
pointed at Urd.

The Trio watched in surprise as a white glow began to surround Urd's
body. Sayaman heard more then saw his friends transform into their
costumes, as they waited to see what would happen next. Urd raised
her right hand and pointed at the Trio. In a voice that was filled
with an otherworldly power, she said, "THE CHAMPIONS HAVE BEEN FOUND
BY THE GODDESS OF THE PAST. THE FIRST INITIATION."

The light surrounding her then shot forward and enveloped the Trio.
The three screamed in surprise but the screams faded as the light did.
They blinked as Urd slumped into her brothers' arms and said,
sounding exhausted, "There we go. You can now fight Gyaos. Good
luck and I'm outta here."

She nodded at Chris, who pulled out a portable TV and turned it on.
After struggling to get into it, she vanished, leaving Chris alone.
"And now," Chris said as he put the TV away and pulled out a flask,
"for our next trick..."

He poured the water onto the ground and stood back. Soon, a pair of
arms pulled themselves out of the puddle. The Trio's eyes became
even wider as a little girl, with long black hair and dressed in a
long-sleeved white shirt with red shoulders which was much shorter in
the front than the back over a pair of shorts, followed the arms out.
Once she was on the ground, she reached back into the puddle and
pulled out a croquet mallet. Yin Yang cringed at the sight of the
mallet, but was unable to think of a reason why.

"Ain't she great folks?" Chris asked, overdramaticaly.

"Hihi," the girl said as she twirled the mallet, "my name's Skuld."

She looked the three heroes up and down before commenting, "A guy in
a stupid looking costume, a guy who's a girl half the time, and a
girl in an outfit that's WAY too tight..."

Skuld looked up and said, "I never thought you'd make a joke in a
situation like this."

	"HEY!" the Trio exclaimed.

"Dissed by a snot nosed kid in an ugly get up," Yin Yang snarled
sarcastically, "My heart will NEVER recover."

"ONIIIIIIICHAAAAAN," Skuld whined, "He's making fun of me! Beat him
up!"

Chris sighed and said, "Later, dear. We need him intact right now.
"

"Can we get on with this?" Sayaman asked, annoyance starting to
creep into his voice.

	Elsewhere....

Gyaos had begun to dive for another victim, when a ripple of mystic
energy made him pull up and look to the north. The Prey had been
awakened. He had to move fast. There wasn't much time left now and
his belly was almost full.

Two or three more full feastings and he would be able to fly to the
Anarondaks and awaken Death Ghidora. Now, with The Prey becoming
viable targets, he could either go after normal people, or take out
one of them and be able to awaken Death Ghidora much more quickly.

For a full three minutes, Gyaos was torn by indecision, which almost
cost him everything. A small, golden ki ball suddenly slammed into
his side, knocking him for a loop. "There he is!" Great Sayaman
cried as he flung another blast of concentrated ki at their foe.

Gyaos flew up higher into the air as he avoided the projectile but
was hit by a jump kick off a roof from Yin Yang. The Shadow of
Calamity, disoriented by the sudden attack, fired Sonic Beams in
several directions at once, trying to hit anything that moved. Most
of them hit nothing but air, except for one, which hit a giant,
glowing pink heart that had been flying at him and made it explode
before it impacted with his body.

Sailor Moon ducked as the shock wave from the premature explosion of
her attack, rushed over her head and blasted apart a chimney behind
her. Yin Yang landed next to her and said, "There's only one of this
thing, this shouldn't be too hard."

The sailor suited warrior smirked nervously as she replied, "Famous
last words."

Yin Yang positioned himself several steps in front of her and said
as he cupped and braced his hands in front of him, "I think one of us
still needs to get a shot in to keep it even."

Sailor Moon nodded and, with a running start, jumped and planted her
right foot on Yin Yangs cupped hands. Yin Yang heaved, adding his
strength to Sailor Moons momentum and flung her high into the air as
she extended both her feet, which hit Gyaos in the gut, and cried,
"SAILOR MOON SUPER HIGH KICK!"

Gyaos felt the air rush out of his lungs and fell onto one of the
roofs, coughing for breath as the Trio regrouped and prepared to move
in and finish Gyaos off. From their position several roofs away
Chris cheered, "All right! Hit 'im again! Hey Skuld, got any popco...
"

A misfired Sonic Beam caused the two of them to duck and Chris
roared, "Watch it! Don't make me come over there!"

Gyaos squawked at him in a "Just you try it buddy" fashion and
turned to deal with his attackers. The Shadow of Calamity ducked a
punch from Yin Yang and, before the hero could react, snapped upward
and bit his arm. "ARRRRGH!" Yin Yang yelled in surprise as he lashed
out with his other fist, striking Gyaos on the side of the head.

The force of the blow made Gyaos release his hold on Yin Yangs arm
and staggered back, blood lining his beak. Gyaos slid his tounge
along his beak, eagerly drinking up the red liquid on it, and eyed
Yin Yang hungrily, making it well known that he wanted more. Yin
Yang clutched his bloody right forearm and kept an eye on Gyaos as
the two circled each other. The distraction was enough for Sayaman
to fly in and strike Gyaos under the chin before he could react.

The Shadow of Calamity was hit by over a thousand fists from both
males. He was hit by more projectiles from the male in green, as
well as one from the one in white and black. He was hit by a glowing
golden discus thrown by the female and felt it rip off the tip of his
left wing.

Finally having it beaten into him that this battle would not end
well for him, Gyaos lifted off and flew away at top speed. "Go after
him!" Chris yelled and then disappeared, appearing on another roof in
the direction of Gyaos' flight.

"HEY!" Skuld yelled as she leaped off and flew after him, "Wait for
us!"

Sayaman flew up and away as well, and after Sailor Moon removed the
bow on the back of her skirt and used it to help Yin Yang bandage his
injured forearm, the two of them roof hopped after Gyaos as well.

Gyaos flapped his wings for all he was worth, desperate to escape.
Sayaman turned on the speed, but saw that the monster bird was slowly
starting to widen the gap between them, as they zig-zaged between the
tall forest of buildings. Sayaman, in desperation, poured on an
extra amount of speed and began to catch up, when Gyaos made a sudden
turn to the left and Sayaman accidently blasted past the street
before he could turn around and correct his course.

He'd only lost sight of Gyaos for a maximum of three seconds, but
that had been long enough for the bird to vanish from sight. Though
not prone to cursing, Sayaman couldn't help himself as he growled,
"Aw, crap."

The others caught up to him, gasping and panting. "Where..." Sailor
Moon asked between deep breaths, "did... he... go?"

"I don't know," Sayaman grumbled, "He pulled a fancy stunt and
tricked me."

"Now... what?" Yin Yang asked, also trying to regain his breath.

"Now," Skuld said, "we find him again before he kills someone. He's
almost eaten enough to complete his mission. We CAN'T let him do
that."

Sayaman turned to the others and said, "Split up. He's got to be
around here somewhere. If you find him, do whatever it takes to put
him down or find some way to get the attention of the rest of us, so
we can help."

The other two members of the Trio nodded, each of them going in
different directions to begin their three person dragnet of the city.
None of them noticed the boarded up building on the right side of
the street. More specifically, they didn't notice that the boards of
one of the windows had not been rotted out, but cut out as smooth as
glass.

Inside that building, a similar hole was in the floor, and the one
below that, and the one below that and it was the same, leading down
to the ground floor and into the sewers.

The rat scuttled along the tunnel, searching for something to eat.
Suddenly, it's head was cut off and flew into the darkness farther
down the tunnels. Gyaos used his beak to pick up the rest of the
dead rats body and forced it down his throat. Rat flesh wasn't as
sweet as human flesh, but rats were far more numerous and though it
would take slightly longer, he would be able to complete his mission
far more easily.

After all, who would miss a few of the city's biggest pests?

	An hour later....

"Where the hell IS he?" Chris growled in frustration, "I mean,
there's only so many places a homicidal Big Bird can hide."

Skuld had a portable computer in her hands and was typing away,
trying to initiate a bio-search program that would help in the search
for Gyaos. The screen showed a map of the city and three dots
indicated each one of the Trio as they searched the streets. Skuld
growled in frustration as she checked and rechecked the program, to
see if she had installed it correctly. Skuld sighed, "I can't find
him! He's got to be here SOMEWHERE!"

Elsewhere across the city, similar exclamations of frustration were
uttered as the Trio also suffered from a lack of success in their
searches. "Heeeeere, birdy birdy birdy..." Chris muttered to himself,
"Come out, come out, wherever you are...."

Sayaman had searched a good portion of Chinatown, but the only birds
he had found were hanging in shop windows. Sailor Moon had been
searching most of Broadway, but the only birds she had found had been
turkeys. The only excitement Yin Yang had, was when a fire hydrant
had exploded for no obvious reason and activated her curse.

Suddenly, a beep on Skulds' computer, made her look down and notice
a golden blip that suddenly appeared next to them. "He's in front of
us! Closing fast!" she screamed.

"What?" Chris exclaimed, "I thought he wasn't allowed..."

A Sonic Beam shot up from the ground and nearly hit Skuld, who had
just barely managed to jump out of the way. Chris growled, "If he
does that just ONE more time, then rules or no rules, I'm going to
vivisect that thing."

The Sonic Beam swung in a circle, cutting a hole that fell into the
sewers and let the monster fly out. "Of all the stupid mistakes."
Skuld moaned.

Gyaos looked at them for a long moment and then made a curious sound.
  "Caw caw caw caw."

	It sounded like mocking laughter.

Gyaos zipped back into the air, heading for where he was to go next.
"Damn!" Chris exclaimed as he flew off into the air, after Gyaos,
giving thanks that Kami-sama had lent him a Levitation Stone for this
particular mission. "If I could really cut loose on you," he roared
as he shook his fist at the Shadow of Calamity, "you'd be choking on
that laugh!"

Gyaos paid no attention, his instincts taking over completely. The
monster bird didn't even notice as Sayaman noticed the two of them
and joined in the chase. "What's going on?" the hero asked as he
kept pace with the god.

"Something not good, I assure you." Chris replied with a sour
grimace, "He was in the sewer and there were probably enough rats
down there to fill his belly several times over. We can't let him
get to the Anarondaks. That's where Death Ghidora is."

Sayaman nodded in understanding and willed himself to fly even
faster than he currently was. In less than thirty minutes, they had
reached the city limits and beyond, traveling at speeds that broke
the sound barrier with large sonic booms, causing everything below
them to rumble as if struck by a sudden earthquake. Sayaman took no
notice of this, or of their surroundings as, his frustration and
anger reaching its peak, his aura exploded in a flash of golden light.

When the light faded, Sayaman was in his Super state. The extra
speed granted him, helped to slowly close the gap between him and
Gyaos. As Sayaman closed in, he extended his arms to the fullest,
ready to grab the Shadow of Calamity as soon as he was within reach.

Unfortunately, when he was still several yards away, a green torrent
of energy flowed from Gyaos's body and was absorbed by... something,
in the ground. Not expecting what had happened, the Super Saya-jin
stopped and finally realized where they were. A forested area, high
in the sky.

	The Anarondaks.

Gyaos, all the life energy he had taken while feeding cruelly ripped
from his body, along with his own, plummeted to the ground. He was
dead, his mission complete.

Sayaman and Chris landed nearby. The two of them frowning as they
looked at the body of Gyaos. Out of a nearby lake, Skuld teleported
in, dragging Sailor Moon and Yin Yang-chan behind her. "There you
are," Skuld growled at her brother, "you had me worried, flying off
like that! I can't believe you..." then she noticed the body of
Gyaos, "Oh good, you got him."

	"Uhhh..." Chris said, "Not QUITE."

"Hey guys." Sayaman said in greeting to his friends.

"That felt WEIRD." Sailor Moon commented.

"No kidding," Yin Yang-chan agreed, "By the way, what did he mean by,
 'not quite'?"

Sayaman didn't get to answer, as Skuld began to glow and intoned,
her voice filled with power, "THE MISSION TO STOP GYAOS, OBSERVED BY
THE GODDESS OF THE FUTURE, HAS FAILED. DEATH GHIDORA AWAKENS. THE
SECOND INITIATION!"

White energy once again enveloped the Trio and, when it faded, it
was the smaller girls turn to collapse into her brothers arms.
"There," Skuld panted, "that should do it. You can now fight Death
Ghidora when he comes out."

Without a further word, Chris helped Skuld back to the lake and let
her teleport through it. Giving a look to the Trio, he said, "I was
REALLY hoping I wouldn't have to use this."

He took out a compact mirror and placed it on the ground, once again,
in a flash of white light, a woman, much more serene looking than
the previous two, teleported in. "Greetings," the woman said, "my
name is Belldandy. If I am here, then..."

Before Belldandy could get any further, the ground began to rumble
as something under them awoke.
