Prologue: Gaea's Kingdom

	In a dark room somewhere on Earth, a lone man sat, illuminated by a bright
spotlight from above. Around him were five projector screens, each one
glowing with a different hue. 
	"The Children are being taken to Earth as scheduled?" asked the rightmost
screen bearing a blue background. 
	The man nodded once, the light flashing off his amber tinted glasses.
"Yes. The Marduk Foundation reports that the training of the Firsts was
completed succesfully, and they are on their way down."
	"That is well, Gendo. The future of the human race as we knows it rests on
the shoulders of these five," replied the yellow screen at the far left of
the chamber. 
	"And the training of the Second Children?" asked the green screen between
the yellow and the red.
	"Two are in Tokyo-3 already, and their training is almost completed. One
more is on his way, separately from the First Children. Major Katsuragi is
accompanying him to Earth."
	"An untrained Child? Are you sure..."
	 Gendo cut the voice from the green screen in mid-sentence."He will be
trained. Rest assured, the plan proceeds as scheduled." 
	"Very well. Keep us informed." The red screen finished speaking and winked
out, quickly followed by the other colored screens. The spotlight also
dimmed as the screens faded out.
	Ikari Gendo still sat unmoving in the middle of the now darkened room. 
	"To the future," he quietly muttered to himself.
