This is probably one of the most unusual takes on a very romantic song. l 
turned it from pretty romantic to WAFFy and sweet. l'm working on my fanfics 
(l want to finish them before l start asking for pre-readers and the like. Be 
patient), so in the meantime, l'll send you yet another songfic just in time
for 
Father's Day. Enjoy! 

BTW... l've changed a few of the words to fit the story. Not many... just 2 or
3.

Wonderful Tonight

[The scene opens on Kyoko's and Yusaku's bedroom. There, we see a 4 year 
old Haruka (their daughter) kneeling on the floor. ln her hand is an
invititation to 
a Father's Day dinner.]

It's late in the evening
She's wondering what clothes to wear

[Haruka picks up a pretty dress and her mother helps her put it on.] 

She puts on her make up
And brushes her long brown hair

[Once the dress is on, Kyoko pulls out a very light shade of lipstick and puts
it 
on her. She brushes Haruka's hair then spritz a little of her perfume on her. 
Mother and daughter, hand in hand go out into the hallway where Yusaku is 
waiting in a nice shirt and tie.]

And then she asks me,
"Do I look alright?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."

[Yusaku beams with pride as he gives his daughter a pink thorn-less rose and 
offers Haruka his arm as a gentleman would. Haruka smiles and waves to her 
mother as both father and daughter leave.]

[Yusaku and Haruka go into a restaurant with a big banner over the door 
stating "Daddy/Daughter dinner and dance".]

We go a party

[Once they enter, another father bends down and tells Yusaku what a lovely 
young lady he's with. At this, Haruka blushes.]

And everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady
That's walking around with me.

[Haruka looks around and her eyes light up with joy as she sees Barney 
passing out balloons at the other side of the room. Yusaku grimaces at the 
sight of the hated purple dinosaur and brings his hand up to his head as he 
gets a sudden headache.]

And then she asks me,
"Do you feel alright?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."

[Haruka fairly drags her father over to Barney to get a balloon Yusaku smiles 
at his daughters joy at meeting Barney and hugging him. She bounces back to 
Yusaku and tells him in gleeful squeals that she met Barney and got a 
balloon. Yusaku watches her expression in a quiet, proud manner only a father 
could have for his first daughter.]

I feel wonderful
Because I see the love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize
How much I love you.

[Yusaku carries a sleepy Haruka home on his back.]

It's time to go home now
And I've got an aching head.

[Yusaku opens the door and gives Kyoko a tired smile. After all it's not easy 
running after a 4 year old after 9 o'clock. Kyoko takes her sleeping daughter 
and carries her to her bed.]

So I give her the house keys.
She helps me to bed.
And then she tells me,
As I turn out the light,
She says "My darling, you were wonderful tonight."

[Kyoko kisses Yusaku and holds him as he realizes this was the best Father's 
Day he's ever had.]

"Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

[Scene fades to black.]
