Hi all.
 I got really bored, drank to much Pepsi, ate to much junkfood, read to many
fanfic 
and got a rather silly idea.
I haven't been on this list very long, a day or so.
So I don't know if I'm copying any one with this idea, if so ...sorry.

Fear.

Shinji was beyond scared.  Nothing affected him any more.  
Being shot at, blown up and meeting Misato tens to do that to a young 14 year
old. 
Now this.

The room felt huge.  He didn't notice the size of the room when he walked in
because 
Shinji had his nose buried in the OP manual.

A door closed.

Dark.

It was black, couldn't even see his hand in front of his face.  It was still. 
Was that the lapping of water he heard?

Light.

"A face?"
"A giant robot?"

Shock.

He couldn't believe what was standing before him, a giant purple and green
mech!
A smile slowly crossed his face.
Ritsoko started "This is man's ultimate-humanoid fighting machine....."
She looked over... She found she was talking to air. 

At this time Gendo took his place over looking the hanger bay expecting to
talk at his son...
What he didn't expect to see was Shinji  scampering up the side of the EVA!
Gendo was to say the least, confused.

When he got to the shoulders Shinji paused to take a quick breath and let out
a mighty whoop.
" I get to pilot a real robot, this is so cool!  It's just like the Gekiganger
on TV!  This is great!  Now I can go out and kick that Angel's butt!" an evil
smile crossed the young buys face "I'll show 'em my ultra supper great final
attack!  They call it....gusty-Shinji-supper-NAPALM !!!! " and with this he
struck a dramatic pose.

It a funny thing about the world.  Fate can be a bitch.  
At about this time the Angel decided to attack the Geofront direct.

The explosion was deafening.  
It rocked NERV to it's very core.

The footing on the metal exoskeleton of EVA 01 was, in fact, quit smooth.
Shinji while striking his pose was, in fact, rather off balance.  
He fell.

A large sweat drop formed on the back of Gendo's head. 


Rei was sitting, with a large SD stuffed EVA toy, behind a console somewhere,
with her hair up in pigtails.
" Baka."
