(These are questions regarding foreigners/different ethnicities in mainland
China, specifically, around the Shanghai and/or Tsingtao areas. I need
these facts for Ryoga 1/2, book two. ^_^)
1. How do the Chinese view foreigners in general?
2. How do the Chinese view Japanese foreigners specifically?
3. How do the Chinese view American foreigners specifically?
4. How would the Chinese view someone who was half-Chinese, half-American,
but had been born in China? (Note, this person is female, looks mostly
Chinese, but has blond hair.)
(Questions that don't regard foreigners in China.)
5. What are the living conditions in Shanghai like? e.g., are there a lot
of slums? Is it mostly rich? What do they eat there? And so on...
6. What are the living conditions in Tsingtao like? e.g., are there a lot
of slums? Is it mostly rich? What do they eat there? And so on...
7. What sort of city is Shanghai? Port? Commercial? Industrial? Can
you provide some sort of description of the city itself?
8. What are some notable landmarks in Shanghai?
9. What sort of city is Tsingtao? Port? Commercial? Industrial? Can
you provide some sort of description of the city itself?
10. What are some notable landmarks in Tsingtao?
11. What dialects do they speak in the two cities?
12. What sort of place is Sinkiang/Xinjiang? How do people get around
there? What are the people there like? What language do they speak? What
kind of society is it? (ex., old-fashioned, midieval Chinese, modern, etc.)
13. How much effect has communism had on the western provinces?
(Tsinghai, Tibet, Sinkiang, etc.)
14. How much effect has communism had on the eastern provinces? Are
people free to enter and leave the cities as they please? Is a 'travel
permit' required? And so on.
15. Do most people in China dislike the communists? If so, are they
vocal, or more tacit about it? Also, are there any 'secret society' type
organizations that fight the communists?
Sorry there's a lot of questions, but I really do need to know all this... :P

The slender girl, Ryako, only gave him a cute, yet somewhat wolfish,
grin. "Aw, you're no fun, Ryoga," she said, hitting him on the shoulder
playfully. "Here we are, so close, and you won't let me read what you're
writing?" She snuggled up against him, smirking to herself.
Ryoga apparently didn't notice that she was only kidding, because his
face glowed a bright red and he nervously inched away from her. "C-close?"
He stammered. "I...well...you see..."
