I'm seriously beginning to wonder about the comprehension skills
about some members of this mailing list.
Recently, a question was asked on the list, and the author of the
post specifically said:
Please respond personally so as
not to clutter the ML. Thanks!
And lo, someone posted the answer to the list anyway.
This is merely the latest in a string of flagrant violations of
requests to keep spammish replies to questions of this type off the
list.
Most people do pretty good about it, but there's that percentage of
you that simply don't *grasp* the concept of a private reply
addressed directly to the author.
>From now on, people, when you know the answer to a question someone
asks on the list, be sure to check for the statement "please reply
privately" in their message before you post your answer to the list.
If someone asks for a private reply, for Kami-sama's sake, *keep it
private!* It's not like it's that hard to make sure you're clicking
the right button (or in some cases, removing the extra e-mail
addresses) when you reply.
