This part is the one I have the most problems with.
I'm not sure if I'm using certain DC Comics characters
right, or if I should use them at all.
Nah. You completely nail Oracle, IMHO. Dick, (assuming that IS Dick) on the
other hand, is acting exactly like Bruce. That's not entirely impossible once
Nightwing grows up, but still seems OOC.
Again though, that's assuming it's Dick.
You might wanna ask Matt Campbell about this. The man is an AUTHORITY on DC
Comics, from the latest issue to the Golden Age. He's the man.
I'm so unsure of it all that I'm entirely willing
to scrap this entire part and start from scratch.
C&C appreciated.
Always a pleasure.

You simply MUST use some lines from "A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the
Forum" in this at some point
As he stood on the deck of his fishing boat, staring at the
morning's catch, he had to admit, he'd never heard or seen
-anything- like this.
Seen, yes, he probably wouldn't have. But it seems like the infamous "Joker
fish" would've become something of fisherman's folklore over the years.
Maybe that's just me.

"You always carry that thing around?" asked Linna, pointing
to Priss' gun.
Priss grinned. "Member-II," she said, patting it lovingly.
"Never leave home without it."
This scene seemed WAY too public. Remember, guns are highly illegal in Japan.
Priss may be violent, but I doubt even she's stupid enough to risk a fine and
a possible prison sentence (she almost definitly has priors) unless it were a
life or death situation. With this, she'd probably be more content to wait for
ADP to show up, watch THEM waste it, and then make snide comments about their
preformance.
"Oh my," said Linna.
Channeling Kasumi now, is she?
"Police! Freeze!"
The Joker stopped in mid-stride, frowning. Cops? So soon?
My, either the response time was better than he'd heard
or there was a policeman in the audience.
"Why officer, something I can do for you?" he asked
smoothly, turning around. The Joker's grin increased a
notch when he noticed the policeman, aiming a gun at him,
was wearing a suit.
Ah, so there was one in the audience.
"Put your hands above your head, clown."
"Hey, y'know what?" asked the Joker casually.
"I said put your hands on your head!"
"I think my gun's bigger than yours. Let's find out!" As
the Joker reached into his jacket, the policeman opened
fire. To his shock, his two shots missed. He didn't get a
chance to fire a third because the barrel of the gun that
was suddenly a centimeter from his eye was distracting him.
It was a big gun, but not in the conventional definition of
'big gun'. It appeared to be a .357 Magnum, but with a five
meter long barrel.
And NOW we're borrowing from the movie. God help us all.
I'd personally like an explanation of WHY a trained police officer missed a
stationary target at point blank range.
[Gotham, Wayne Park. 9:01 am]
A little ego with your cape, Mr. Wayne?
Aside from the occasional jogger, Wayne Park was empty. It
was too early for the lunch crowd, just a little late for
the breakfast crowd.
Sylia's senses were scanning her surroundings, waiting for
the moment 'Oracle' would arrive.
She was expecting trouble.
She wasn't expecting trouble in the form of a dozen youths,
all weilding baseball bats and walking her way. Sylia's
hand reached slowly for the gun under her jacket...
They walked right past her, chatting pleasantly amongst
themselves. One of them politely tipped his hat to her as
he walked by.
They were all wearing, on their shirts, their hats, or as a
tatoo, the symbol of the batman.
The fanboys are coming! The fanboys are coming!
Lousy little SOB's.....
And you capitalize Batman. It's a proper noun.
A moment later, they were gone.
Strange, she thought.
'They're vigilantes,' said a voice behind her. Sylia whirled
around, pulling her gun out.
Sylia is NOT that jumpy. Remember, this is SYLIA. She's the calm, cool,
controlled one. She isn't going to pull that cute li'l revolver of hers just
because someone walked up behind her and said two words.
You're right, this part seems way weaker than the other two. It's not bad
enough to warrant a complete scrap, not by a long shot, but it REALLY does
need some work.
