A LONG TIME AGO . . .
Centuries had passed since the first days of the Silver Millennium,
centuries of hope, and centuries of peace. In the royal families of
both the Earth and the Moon, the first child of the proper gender would
be named for the first ruler of their world and declared to be the heir;
on the Earth the first prince would be named Endyimon, on the Moon, the
first princess would be named Serenity. Also, in every generation, a
woman, who was a direct descendent of the first Senshi of her world,
would inherit the power of their ancestors. This held true for all the
worlds, all of them, except for the Senshi of Earth, and Saturn. No one
knew the reasons why the power's of Senshi Earth were not passed on, but
unlike the other planets, none of the women of the royal family of the
Earth inherited the power and the mantle of the Senshi of the Earth.
However, no matter what the reason, this continued until only a few even
'remembered' that there was ever a Senshi Earth. The Silence, the power
of Senshi Saturn was not passed down, because it was meant to be the
weapon of last resort. It had been made so that it would only appear
when it was needed, and it would be heralded by signs and portents which
would warn of the Senshi of Silence's coming.
With each generation, the power of the Senshi grew as the bonds
between them and their planet grew stronger and tighter. The peace, and
the bonds of friendship between the worlds grew, as over the
generations, the royal family of the Moon married the royal families of
the other planets, until all were bound to the royal line of the moon by
blood, all but the rulers of the Earth, and the lone planet, Pluto.
Pluto was the one world never colonized. Only it's Senshi, Pluto
herself lived there. No one knew just how old Senshi Pluto was, since
she seemed unchanging over the centuries that she was known, also, no
one was brave or foolish enough to ask her. Legend had it that Pluto
was the original Senshi of her world, the one who had lent her power to
the creation of the Silver Imperyum Crystal. To any who had the courage
to ask, Senshi Pluto who answer only, "Perhaps." and nothing more.
Senshi Pluto was a mysterious figure. She was the one Senshi who
wasn't under the command of the Queen of the Moon, for it was decided
that her guardianship of the Gate of Time demanded that she be not bound
by the duties of the other Senshi. Pluto would be rarely seen more than
a few times each generation by anyone, keeping herself aloof from
others. Except, perhaps, for the Moon Queen of that generation, for
they both guarded things of power that could destroy worlds, and none
but they could know the loneliness of true power.
Such was the way things were, until, one generation, a princess of
the Moon was born. As with all the future queens of the Moon, her birth
was guarded by the Senshi, but what was different was that Pluto, who
rarely if ever appeared for such things was there as well. She remained
with her fellow Senshi throughout the night, until the young Princess,
named Serenity for the first Queen of the Moon, as were all the heirs to
the throne of the Moon, was born. As each of the Senshi came to view
the future ruler of the Solar System, it was rumoured that some had
actually seen her cry, though none had the courage to ask her about it.
This was repeated throughout the Princess's days, every grand
achievement in the Princesses life was marked by the presence of Pluto,
from birth, to her first steps and her first words, til finally when she
met the man of her dreams and married. When Princess Serenity finally
arose to her ancestral throne, and eventually gave birth to her own
daughter, Pluto was there. As with her mother, the new Princess
Serenity was watched over, and trained by Pluto. Her training, however,
went into things that no other Queen since Serenity the Healer had
learned. These were the ways of the warrior, and the ways of the mage,
as well as her normal trainings as a crown princess. The Princess was
also taught the duties of a healer, though she was taught little of
healing itself. To many, this was very strange, but to the Queen and
the Princess, it was like Pluto was an aunt who was always stiffly
formal in the presence of others, but could be warm and compassionate
when alone with her family. When it came time for the Princess to
receive her own Senshi, Pluto aided her. Giving her advice and
encouragement. It was very strange, because the four inner Senshi, who
would be the confidants and protectors of Princess Serenity throughout
her life were also the heirs to the thrones of their own respective
worlds. This had only happened twice, in all the centuries of the
Silver Millennium. When it came time for her to meet the crown prince
of the Earth, Prince Endyimon, Pluto presented her with a beautiful
silver gown. She watched over them with a melancholy smile, as the two
met for the first time, and their hearts and souls knew that they had
found their soulmate. Serenity surrounded by the four inner Senshi, and
Endyimon with his four Guardians. It was shortly after this that
Jedite, the oldest of the four Guardians, and Senshi Mars began to see
each other romantically. Shortly afterwards, the other Senshi followed
their example and began to be romantically linked to the Guardians;
Senshi Venus to Guardian Malachite, Senshi Jupiter to Guardian Nephlyte,
and Senshi Mercury with Guardian Zoicite. This was easily done as
Endyimon leaped at any diplomatic mission which took him to the Moon
Kingdom, so that he could be with his beloved Princess Serenity, whom he
called his Serena. Finally, the five couples went to the rulers of the
Moon and Earth, to petition for the right to marry their loves.
Permission was granted with joy from all concerned, and the formal
announcements would be made at a Grand Ball upon the Moon. The Ball was
to celebrate the nineteenth birthday of the Moon Princess.
Not all was joyful at this time, however. For you see, a
noblewoman, who was a scorned suitor of the Prince, had declared war
upon the throne of the Earth. Her wish was to see all bow down to her,
to take the throne over all the solar system, and to force the Prince to
be her lover. This threat of civil war was made even more fearful by
the fact that Senshi Saturn had appeared, heralding dark days in the
near future. The womans name, was Beryl. Beryl delved into forbidden
magics, the necromancy that drained the life force from a person without
their consent, and somehow began to communicate with Metallia, who had
slowly been driven mad since her 'death.' In fact, Metallia had not
died, but rather been changed into something . . .else. The two
conspired against the Moon kingdom, knowing that only the Silver
Imperyum Crystal held power enough to thwart their schemes. Metallia
provided Beryl with knowledge of magics which could create monstrous
golems, or transform people into demonic warriors, which were called,
youma. Through treachery, Beryl captured the four Guardians, and their
seven most trusted lieutenants,. Beryl brainwashed the Guardians so
that, unknown, even to them, they acted as spies and sabotours. The
seven lieutenants, she used her magics to make into the Seven Shadows,
the most powerful youma to ever exist. When told of the engagement and
ball, Beryl was enraged, and planned a great assault upon all the
colonized worlds of the Solar System, but most especially both the Earth
and the Moon. She then prepared a spell which would allow Metallia her
freedom. With the aid of Metallia, the other worlds were destroyed with
ease, leaving them unable to support life anymore. Only the Moon and
the Earth held power enough to hold out against Metallia for long, but
with the knowledge of the enslaved Guardians, Beryl and Metallia's
forces soon overwhelmed Earth's defenses and took the royal palace of
the Earth. They then attacked the Moon Palace, believing that if they
could strike fast enough that they could prevent the use of the Crystal.
Metallia quickly killed Senshi Saturn before she could bring her most
devestating attack into play, and then, she searched for the Moon Queen.
In the fighting, Metallia killed both Princess Serenity and Prince
Endyimon. As an act of last resort, Queen Serenity sacrificed her own
life to call upon the full might of the Crystal. She then used the
Silver Imperyum Crystal to send all of her people, both the living and
dead, into the future, and to banish the Dark Kingdom into another
dimension called the Negaverse. She could not destroy the Dark Kingdom,
for though the power of the Crystal was great, had she used it like
that, the maelstrom of power would have destroyed her people beyond
recall. She hoped that, in the far distant future, peace would have
been reborn and the people could live their lives without Beryl and
Metallia's interference. Unfortunately, Beryl was able to use her
magics to bring the bespelled Guardians into her prison with them,
knowing that their powers would aid her greatly in the coming battles.
In the blaze of magic that had sent the people through time, the Seven
Shadows were adsorbed into the Silver Imperyum Crystal, since they were
not nearly as important to Beryl as the Guardians. The Crystal
shattered into seven gems in the colors of the rainbow, each containing
the soul of one of the Seven Shadows as they vanished into the future.
When all was done, only the dying Queen, and her two moon cat
advisors, Artemis and Luna remained. The Queen gave to them her
Crescent Moon Wand, the talisman with which she wielded the power of the
Crystal, and all the personal talismans and devices of the young Senshi,
which were left behind when they had been sent into the future, and
ordered them to seek out the Senshi, after they had been reborn, to
guide and teach them, preparing them for the war that might be to come.
With that, Serenity, the last, and perhaps greatest Queen of the Silver
Millennium, died. Pluto appeared, and guided the two cats to two
suspended animation capsules, which would allow them to survive until
the Senshi were reborn. After they entered, Pluto took one last,
tearfilled look around the place which had been filled with beauty and
wisdom, but was now dead, and vanished, leaving the dead world to
itself.

Moon Queen Magic:
Chapter 1
It was a beautiful spring day, the birds were singing, the flowers
were in bloom, but five young women, one young man, and two moon cats
did not see the beauty of it. This may of seemed strange to most of the
people who knew them. Though they were friends, these six people had
little in common to bring them together, but to those few people who
knew the truth, that the six people were actually the present
incarnations of the rightful rulers of the five inner planets of the
solar system, and their High Queen (though they all chose to use the
title 'princess' whenever they spoke of it,) in this time, known as the
Sailor Scouts, it was no surprise. The eight of them were deep in
thought over what had transpired the night before. A powerful monster
had attacked, and the Sailor Scouts had been fighting it, as usual, when
four warriors had attacked and destroyed it. That would have been cause
for talk enough, all by itself, but the four warriors had worn the
ancient symbol for the Earth, and no one knew their identities.
"It's no use!" Exclaimed Darien, sometimes known as Tuxedo Mask.
The group had been racking their brains, hoping to come up with a memory
from the Silver Millenium that might identify them. The news of the
four warriors was of especial importance to Darien, because they were
most likely survivors of his long lost kingdom. "I just can't think of
anything." The two moon cats shook their heads.
"We understand perfectly, Darien," The white moon cat, Artemis,
said. "Our memories of the Moon Kingdom may be a bit better than yours
and Serena's, but not by much." Luna, the other moon cat, gave a wry
grimace. She disliked having to agree with Artemis about anything,
especially when it came to her own faults, but being in a suspended
animation chamber for at least ten thousand years had distorted most of
her memories. The only things she could remember clearly when she got
out, were the signs that identified a Sailor Scout, and what to do with
each one. That and her duty to find the Silver Imperyum Crystal and the
Moon Princess. So what if she had mistaken the Moon Princess for a
Sailor Scout? She had remembered, and her memories were becoming
clearer all the time . . . kind of. However, she just wished that she
could figure out how she had gotten the Moon Prism Broach that had first
given Serena the power to become Sailor Moon, and how she had known
about that Moon Tiara Magic attack she could do, especially since there
'was' no Senshi of the Moon during the Silver Millennium!? Luna turned
her attention back to the discussion, when the doorbell to Lita's
apartment rang.
Lita quickly answered it, and came back with a surprise; Haruka,
Hotaru, and Michiru, otherwise known as Sailors Uranus, Saturn, and
Neptune.
"What are 'you' doing here?" Mina asked angrily. Mina, as Sailor
Venus, was technically in command of the Sailor Scouts, though Serena as
the Moon Princess was her superior. Her authority only covered the
Inner Scouts, and she alway got annoyed at the way Uranus and Neptune
treated the five of them, just because they were younger! Actually, she
didn't mind Hotaru, who's personality reminded her so much of Serena
(when Serena wasn't being a klutz) though the idea of the amount of
power at such a small child's command gave her the willies, especially
the title she had sometimes heard given to Sailor Saturn; the Dark
Messiah.
"Puu asked us to come here." Hotaru said. All the Scouts were
startled by this. Sailor Pluto rarely had anything to do with the Inner
Scouts most of the time.
"Indeed I did." Startled, everyone turned to see the source of the
voice. There Sailor Pluto stood, with her Time Staff. Beside her stood
a man, dressed in what appeared to be some kind of antique mens blouse
with tight pants.
"Archon!" Luna exclaimed, staring at the man. All the Inner
Scouts turned towards her.
"You know this guy?" Asked Lita.
"Sure we do," Artemis answer for Luna. "He was an advisor for
Queen Serenity on the Moon, like us."
"Indeed I was." Archon said, nodding his head. "I also advised
King Endyimon of Earth. Except, unlike Luna and Artemis, who advised on
diplomacy and such, when I acted as an advisor, my expertise was in
magic!"
"Magic?" Amy asked. Up until she had become a Sailor Scout, Amy
had never believed in magic, it was just too . . . unscientific. Even
afterwards, she had believed that everything the Scouts and the Dark
Kingdom did, was actually a manifestation of some advanced ancient
science. Like Arthur C. Clarke once said, 'Any sufficiently advanced
science is indistiguishable from magic!' When Luna had given her the
Mercury Computer, that had just reinforced her belief After all, who
ever heard of a place with both magic and computers? But seeing what
Raye could do with her spirit wards, and her ability to actually see the
future by just gazing into a fire, had shaken that belief. Then, dying
and being brought back to life, with no memories of the past several
months had dashed it to pieces. Since then, she had been trying to find
some way to understand magic, to quantify it. That was the real reason
behind much of her studying; she was preparing for the day when she
could actually begin to study the 'science of magic.'
As an answer, Archon held up a hand, filled with crackling
energies. "Yes. I am an expert practitioner of magic, what some call a
magus or mage. The King and Queen came to me whenever they needed to
know something about magic that was too sensative for anyone else to be
asked. I also created magical items for them. Infact, I was
responsible for creating your transformation devices."
The Sailor Scouts quickly brought out their transformation wands,
and Serena took out her Moon Crystal Locket, which she used to hold the
Silver Imperyum Crystal.
"I always thought that these were somehow a part of our powers."
Mina said. "You know, like the Outer Scouts talimans."
"No," Archon answered. "These objects have very little real
power. What they do is resonate with the power of an individual Scout,
so that when you give the correct command, it triggers your powers." He
chuckles. "It also changes to match your present power level.
Otherwise, it's just a focus to help you concentrate and make better use
your powers."
"Enough of this!" Luna exclaimed. "Much as we are glad to see
you, Archon, how is it that you are still alive. I would have thought
that you would have been killed by Beryl, or died after so many
millenia."
Archon sighed and wandered over to a sopha recently vacated by Mina
and Lita. "Beryl 'did' go after me. However, I had a contingency plan
in case something like that happend. After I got hurt in the battle, I
got teleported into a stasis device that I had built for an emergency.
It put me to sleep and treated my injuries. Kept me alive all this
time."
"That is where I come in." Pluto said. "I was scouting around an
area where I detected strong magic that shouldn't have been there, and I
came across the ruins of Archon's lab, and his stasis device. I let him
out, and explained what had happend."
"Great, just what we need," Haruka moaned, "Another friend from the
past who probably forgot most of what they were supposed to do in
cryosleep."
"Got you there you two." Serena said, laughing, as giant
sweatdrops appeared on the three refugees from the Silver Milleniums
heads.
"Well, anyway," Archon broke in, "To keep a long story short, we
decided that with my expertise in magic, I could help train you in how
to better use your powers." He looked over the gathered Sailor Scouts.
"Each of you can generate your elemental attacks, and work group spells
like your Sailor Teleport, but none of you have learned how to control
your element with ease. Also, none of you have learned how to focus
just your magic and not effect your element."
"You mean like what Amy did, when she kept that negaportal from
closing and traping Raye and me?" Serena asked.
"Exactly!" Pluto said. The Scouts turned to each other,
excitedly. This was going to be very helpful if they ever had to face
another major enemy.
"Now," Archon said, raising his voice, "I can't train you all at
once, since some of you will take more work to control your powers than
others."
"Yeah, like Meatball-head!" Raye called out.
"Can it Pyro!" Serena exclaimed, sticking her tonuge out at Raye.
"Anyway," Archon cut in, "I have gathered some mutual friends to
help you master your powers." With that said, Archon waved his hand,
and the four warriors from last night faded into existence in the room.
The Sailor Scouts, Darien, and the moon cats stared at them. Slowly,
hesitantly, the four reached up and removed their helmets, revealing the
resurrected forms of the four leaders of the Negaverse; Zoicite,
Malacite, Nephlyte, and Jedite.

Oh. You probably hate me now for stopping right here, don't you?
Well, I'll eventually get back to this story, unless I don't get much in
the way of C&C. Otherwise this story is dead. Anyway, I'm still
working on getting Mother's Gift ready to send out, though it's begining
to look more and more like a short series rather than a one shot. Sorry
it takes me so long, but I don't have a computer of my own, and have to
use one at the public library. I just don't have the money for an
internet connection. Ahwell, see you later!
