Establishing Shot: Darkness.
VOICE (V.O.)
<modulated> I want the creature.
Fade to a pan across a vacant and destroyed laboratory. Chemicals
and test tubes lie broken across the floor.
VOICE (V.O.)
I don't care if you have to go
to the end of the galaxy and
beyond, <forced> I WANT THAT
CREATURE.
Fade to a pan down a hallway in a bunker. Bloody bodies lie strewn
across the floor, their blood pooling in the center and running to
a distant drain.
VOICE (V.O.)
If there is anything that holds
the key to what I want, it's
that creature. Send anyone you
want...
Flash cut to several black dressed troopers sporting heavy artillery
including several very large looking cannons.
VOICE (V.O.)
The marines, the intergalactic
patrol, anyone you think that
stands a chance against that
*thing*.
Flash cut to two of the troopers walking down the bloodstained
corridor from before. The are walking very slowly, about to step over
one of the bodies when the wall beside them suddenly explodes and a
pair of tentacles reach out and snag the troopers who are screaming
for their lives.
SECOND VOICE (V.O.)
<deep, male> I have just the
people in mind, ma'am.
Flash cut to a doorway that opens upwards letting out a massive steam
cloud. Two pairs of heavy footsteps are heard as the cloud suddenly
parts to show an armor encased foot. Pan upwards and back to show two
heavily armored individuals, one's armor is colored in shades of dark
orange and red, the other in dark blues. Both suits sport a rather
large and modifiable gun instead of a hand. The blue one takes off his
helmet with the sound of escaping air and holds it by his side. He's
a middle aged man with short brown hair and is unshaven leaving a
slight stubble on his chin and lips.
HOUSTON
Name's Houston, this is my
partner Aran. I hear you
have a problem big enough for
a *bounty hunter*.
Pan across to show a MAN suited in black with short black hair and
beady eyes. He raises an eyebrow and hands HOUSTON a clipboard.
MAN
<short> Bring that back alive.
HOUSTON
<Raises eyebrow> What is it?
Pan across to the other side of HOUSTON to zoom in on the clipboard
that shows a picture of a jellyfish like organism with spikes instead
of tentacles.
MAN
It's a younger version of a bio-
logical class eight "Zipper"
creature. <beat> It was last seen
on planet M4332-204.
HOUSON
A what?
The other armored person reaches up and pulls of it's helmet with a
similar sound of escaping air and holds it at it's side. She reaches
up her other hand to ruffle her hair to fall long behind her.
SAMUS
<grave> A Metroid.
Flash to battle scenes of SAMUS and HOUSTON fighting all sorts of
mutated creatures in a dense cave structure.
NARR. (V.O.)
This summer, the motion picture
experience of the season, will
be out of this world.
Flash to a scene of SAMUS and HOUSTON, their armor already battle
scarred, walking carefully across a tiled floor. Suddenly the
floor shakes and a spike comes out of the wall and spears HOUSTON
in the chest.
Flash to SAMUS walking up to a circular podium that has a sealed
transparent jar on top. As SAMUS gets close, a small metroid can be
seen slowly pulsating inside.
Flash to a large computer center, SAMUS is interfacing with the
computer in what looks like a rushed fashion.
SAMUS
-- they've been trying to take
over the entire district.
HOUSTON
<strained> It's the intergalactic
police that's been behind it.
Flash to the MAN facing something off camera.
VOICE (V.O.)
<modulated; yelled> They have
WHAT?!
A large mechanical hand grabs the MAN and pulls him offscreen. Pan to
show a large computer system attached to a tank that has a large
brain immersed within. Wires are connecting the stem to the computer.
A monitor up front shows a wire frame of a woman's face.
MOTHER BRAIN
YOU WILL GET THEM TO BRING IT
TO ME OR ELSE I'LL DESTROY
YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE ON YOUR
DYING PLANET!
The man is tossed off-screen rather violently.
Flash to more scenes of SAMUS and HOUSTON fighting creatures in caves
colored in purple. HOUSTON ducks to fire at a creature and SAMUS
swings her arm around to pummel another over HOUSTON's head.
Flash to a large cathedral-like front formed out of the rock in one
of the caves. SAMUS looks up in awe as HOUSTON turns to face a large
statue of some creature wearing the same armor they are wearing.
HOUSTON
<whispered> The creators...
SAMUS
This is where it all began--
Cut to black. A line appears down the center as two doors open
allowing light to come through. A limping, beaten, SAMUS stumbles
into a large control room missing her helmet. She looks up suddenly
as fear crosses her face.
MOTHER BRAIN (O.S.)
This is the best I could do in
such a short time � admire it
before I kill you with it.
The image is slashed into blackness by some metallic claw. The
caption fades onto the screen with a green and red glow.
