Chapter two: Here's Ranma, again.

The tableau held for a minute. The mysterious girl with red hair was
standing over Ranma with a cold smile on her face. Ranma was on the ground
staring at her, shocked and not a little scared. Akane was standing out of
their way, feeling puzzled, which in turn became irritation. The tableau held
until the bell rang. At once, Ranma leapt to his feet and rushed to the
school doors, catching Akane on the way and dragging her with him. The girl
looked after them, bemusement clearly showing.

*Well, Little sister has certainly improved. Oh well, it wouldn't hurt
to wait,* she thought. The redhead jumped to a thick branch and took a nap,
waiting for lunchtime.

Akane however did not take it as well. She ran as hard as she could to
class, any thoughts of why that girl had called Ranma 'little sister' buried
under mountains of worry. She did not want to spend another day in the hall,
holding buckets.

When they finally reached the classroom, it was with only moments to
spare. They quickly went to their desks. When she had caught her breath once
again, her thoughts eventually turned to the incident in front of the school.
Akane turned to Ranma, trying to talk to him. He had however fallen asleep on
his desk. Akane sighed, and tried to return her attention back to the lesson.
She would just have to wait until lunch.

Usually, when he hit the class, he would usually fall asleep, dreaming
of the outdoors. However, today, he merely feigned sleep. Worry gnawed at
his mind.
*Gods, what to do, what to do. Ah man, Oniichan is going to freak when he
finds out what we've done. Ah gods, I'm dead. What to do, what to do. Ok,
running away is not an option. Once Oniichan has your scent, you can't run
away. Oh man what to do.* He spent the entire first half of class deep in
thought.

When lunchtime arrived, Akane went over to Ranma's desk to wake him up
and try to find what was going on. The rest of the class had gone out of the
classroom, leaving them alone. Most of the girls had smiled at how sweet it
was of Akane to wait for Ranma, while the guys had simmered in jealousy, which
earned them a mallet to the head by their girlfriends.

"Ok Ranma, what's going on?" asked Akane in a peeved tone. Before he
could answer, the girl that Ranma called 'Oniichan' came into the classroom
through an open window. Ranma 'eep'ed and tried to run away, and would have
succeeded if not for Akane's iron grip. Akane was shocked at his reaction.
She had never seen Ranma nervous before. He hadn't been scared even when he
faced off against Ken Yamazaki.
"Hello Imouto-chan. You ran off so suddenly, last time. It hurt, it really
did," said the girl in a mock-sad way.

"Heh . . . Oniichan. Um, I can explain. Really I can," said Ranma in a
very nervous tone.

"Talk fast." Her face, which had a tragic look, was now cold and hard,
as was her voice.

"Hey! Who are you? Why are you calling Ranma, Imouto-chan?" asked
Akane, angry at being ignored. Deep down where no sane person would go, she
was bit scared.

" 'Ranma'? Did she just call you 'Ranma'? Oh, now I'm really
interested," the girl said, looking at Ranma. Ranma gulped and gibbered
inside.

"Um, ok. I'll tell you. Um, could we do this in private?" she asked
plaintively, looking in Akane's direction. Akane immediately tightened her
grip on Ranma's shoulder causing him to wince.

"I don't think that she wants to go 'Ranma'." The girl smiled nastily.

"Ok, um, Oniichan, um, oh gods," Ranma had by this time broken down and
was now gibbering on the outside. Akane was shocked to her core. Ranma
calmed down after a few moments and finally looked Akane straight on with the
expression of a man going to his death with dignity on his face. "Akane, I
have a confession. My name is not Saotome Ranma."

      "What?" she replied softly.

"My name is not Ranma. This is Ranma," he then gestured to the girl,
who smiled and waved slightly in greeting. "My name is Saotome Yuri and I'm
his sister."

"Sister?" Akane repeated, then proceeded to faint dead away. It was
that kind of moment.

"Well, that was dramatic. Now, about that explanation . . ." the real
Ranma said, watching Yuri catch the short black hair girl before she hit the
floor.
