The Authorities have said/often say the same thing about Malathaion,
Trash Incenterators, Nuclear Power, The Police, and so forth.  Du you
really think _everyone_ will buy this?

  This is set in Japan.  Although the Japanese are changing (especially
with the recession and the banking and finance scandals), they still have a
higher innate respect for government than Americans.  

	The Ginzuishou resumed its usual soft glow, and Serenity opened her

Ahh... Nepotism.

  True, but in a monarchy it's very important for a monarch to keep the
relatives busy.  Otherwise they have a tendency to cause trouble.  Anyway,
being given the title doesn't mean that she is entrusting him with an
actual military command.  And if he should turn out to be capable then no
problem.  Charles II (UK, late 17th century) had a mistress (one of many)
who persuaded the king to give her younger brother a military command
although he had little command experience.  The young man, John Churchill,
proved to be one of the finest generals of that period.  Similarly, Lenin
appointed Trotsky as head of the Red Army because he was politically
reliable and an actual friend.  Lenin was probably as surprised as anyone
when Trotsky turned out to be a respectable commander.

Um... I thought that the 'Bodygaurds' were for dealing with crowd
control and Random Human Nutjobs.  In the presense of a real threat
Shingo's job description would logically involve finding cover and
giving Hotaru room to work.

  I think that what she means is that Shingo would stand against anything
threatening Hotaru because of his feelings for her regardless of the
expecterd outcome.

	"Their souls are now bonded together for eternity, as are mine and
Endymion's," Serenity said. "Even should both die, they will find
each other in the next life. It's a bond of love, of destiny, deeper
and stronger than any marriage on Earth." The young queen's eyes
twinkled mischeviously. "You might say I've just established the
standard practice for Sailor Senshi weddings." 

  Damn tough to get a divorce.
