This is a letter I just got back from Toshi Yoshida over at Viz.  Talk
about prompt! I JUST wrote him like an hr. ago.  :)  Anyways, here's what
he says about the various things I wrote to him about.  The Animerica Extra
info. is in there regarding titles and such.

Direct from the horse's mouth, so you can't say I cut & pasted anything -
except his e-mail addy., which I don't know if he wanted published or not.
For him, I cut that out. Other than that, this is exactly as sent.  Hope

Hey Jennifer,

First off, I wanted to say 'howdy', and wish you a good weekend coming up. :)

How-dee ho! (Gee, you smell like flowers...!) ^_-

Seocndly, I wanted to tell you that I thought your casting job for "Grey,
Digital Target" (which I _finally_ got to see dubbed this past weekend) was
excellently done! Great job!

Thanks. To be truthful, I wasn't very happy with the script overall. The
acting was fine, but I with I had it to do over again. I think I could do
a much better job then the one that was released. But that's me being
a perfectionist...

Thirdly, I really liked the recasting for Ranma Saotome. Richard Cox took a
little bit of time to get used to, but he was a good match overall. When he
spoke low, he even sounded very close to Sarah's version of Ranma.
All-in-all, everyone I know who's seen the "Outta Control" season, thinks
that Ranma is a great choice, and he's a good actor.

Hmm...didn't you say two things?

But yeah, Richard is growing into the part. The first volume was "off" in
my opionion, but he got much better in the second and third tape. The
ghost-cat story in the fourth tape turned out great. (IMHO)

Fourthly, I was extrmeely excited to find out that you're publishing not
only the rest of "X", and "Fushigi Yuugi" but also "Video Girl Ai" in your
new Animerica Extra! You're going to be sold out of those quicker than you
know with that line-up. How do I get on the pre-ordering list? Is there
some special card I have to find and send in? When does this mag. start
distribution?

Yes, you definately said 'two things'...

Yeah, we're pretty happy that we finalized getting VG Ai, and it'll start
coming out in September. As for pre-orders, it'd be better to get it from
a retail store, they get it before the subscription dept. anyway. ^_^;

Fifthly, here's an exerpt from a discussion over one of the mailing lists
regarding your new publications coming up:

Well, if you feel like it, you can mentioned that Striker/Spriggan will most
likely appear for short installments from time to time in AniEx or it may
come back in a short mini-series like the Tale of the Berserker.

Black Jack will be released in periodic mini-series/one-shots as well.
