Of course, I haven't seen how Mousse is after the Saffron affair...
maybe
he's grown up some there.
Well, in v38, there seems to be only a short scene with Mousse after
the
Saffron affair (as you put it). And I can't claim this to be
perfectly true
since I don't have a full copy of v38 on hand (yet, c'mon! ship it
already!). But, from what I've read in a few translations, he isn't
--as--
pathetic as we've seen him once Shampoo says she understands how
Mousse
feels and she'll try to get over Ranma. (not quite sure on that last
bit,
but it's how I understood it. Care to correct it?) So, I think we
see a
bit of advancement there.
I don't know, I was under the impression that Mousse was very willing
to wait for Shampoo. He wasn't begging, whining, showering her with
gifts or anything, just... talking. Of course, when Shampoo responds
nicely, he runs over and hugs the old hag. :)
Just remember that Mousse, unlike some others, doesn't try to force
his love; he actually tries to _earn_ it.
Ukyou/Mousse? Then why the sudden bouts of jealousy between the two?
I can
see Mousse beginning to fall for Ukyou since she is paying attention
to him
and listening to his problems. Isn't that the Florence Nightingale
affect?
Ukyou is just being her normal, caring self.
Tee-hee.... geez, I wrote something like this in one of my fics
(insert shameless plug here: click on link in sig). Mousse broken (I
won't get into details, but the gist of it is Shampoo's gone). Ukyo
listens to problems/helps him out a bit. Mousse thinks he loves Ukyo,
and manages to convince Ukyo the same (as she's just getting over Ranma
herself; in the beginning she knows it wouldn't work out, but you know
how emotional state and such kicks in.... it's terrible to be lonely, so
to speak). Of course, a couple stories later both decide the
relationship was taking advantage of emotional state, and it doesn't
work out. Needless to say, Ukyo's much more bitter after this (hates
herself for falling for it).
And no, I don't intend to post this story to the list. I tend to think
I was high when I wrote it, but it works as a plot device....
Okay, I think I fully understand the 'Florence Nightingale' thing now,
for those of you wondering :)
