3.  Is Nodoka's house within Tokyo or its suburbs?  What is the name of
the ward?  Did it have another name during the 1930-1940s? 

Well, the Saotome house not very far from the Tendo
house. In Vol.29 Akane was able go there directly 
from Furinkan. And in Vol.36 Akane (and all of Ranma's
other 'fiancees' were able go there without having
to take a major trip.

My guess is that the Saotome house is no more than
30 minutes walking distance from either the Tendo
house or Furinkan high school. Remember Akane, Ranma
and Nabiki all walk to school.
