Hmm. Can't say what differences there are between the movie and the manga,
but in the movie it was Mun-Lon that was going to slit Ranma's throat with
the wire and Shampoo that saved him.

ah, well... if someone writes the fic they write the fic.  And they do
what they want with the fic.
